Sorry, it doesn't. Tesco stores are private property and photography is not allowed without permission. That's a fact and cannot legitimately be debated. Can I help?0 -
What is Tesco's bulk buy policy with regards to R&R?
I bought 3 cd's and was only given R&R on one.Made it - 15 years married!! Finally!! xx:beer:0 -
Has anyone got any more thoughts on this (below) ... before it gets lost in the thread LOL
Can anybody tell me, what's going on with the pricing on the Tesco.com site and the prices in store ? .... they seem to be all over the place ...
Take the XBOX 360 Games for example ... (thats the full list)
Pro Evo 6 at £34.97 (which is a pi$$ take really as they just bent over backwards in store to put it up from £37.97 to £39.97)
Lego Star Wars II £29.97 ... another which has been frantically put up to £39.xx in store!
I'm sure there must be loads of others ....
What's the score here then...???0 -
tesco.com and tesco stores are not the same, very few retailers with online stores have the same prices in store. DSG do price match their websites but you need to ask them to do it.
There are higher running costs with a store than a wearhouse where the stuff gets shipped from with online retailers.
I know tesco.com offer the service of someone picking your shopping up from the shop floor and you pay the store prices.0 -
Was in my Tesco today And the place was crawling with people checking SELs especially around the Xboxes and electrical goods. I heard a member of staff telling another that something was in the wrong place and to get them sorted.
And I also saw several items with yellow SELs, and a larger one alongside saying in big letters "this offer has now expired!"
Lucky I only went in for some mince and onions0 -
taxiphil wrote:Hey Dude - we all have different views on R+Ring and I fully respect your views, so please don't take this as an attack.
But the language in your last post sounds like the language of a guilty man. You might as well substitute the phrase "R+R" for "shoplift" in your last post, because you seem to regard R+Ring as a wrongdoing.
I don't know if this is because you genuinely feel it's wrong (if this is the case, I respect your view but don't agree with it) or if you've simply been worn down into the ground by all the underhand and devious obstructions that various Tesco staff have put in the way of honouring their policy. If the latter is true then I think it's understandable, but very sad, that you feel that R+Ring should be conducted with such unease and stealth.
I'll never accept that R+Ring is wrong in any way. I'll continue R+Ring to my heart's content for as long as Tesco continue to operate their policy and continue to overcharge on their goods. I'm afraid I'll never agree with you that it's sometimes best to walk away from a clear-cut R+R simply because they're getting dirty about it.
But each to their own - if your style of R+Ring works best for you, then I respect it, and wish you the best of luck.
The issue of me planning to sue for defamation of character isn't exactly because of bans or polite refusals to honour the policy; it's because of a series of allegations about me which I feel overstepped the mark and were entirely unfair and untrue. Premeditated R+Ring may be irritating or vexatious, or whatever, but the rules are there in black and white... it's NOT illegal and their policy gives an absolute promise of a full R+R, regardless of the customer having prior knowledge of the till price.
Hey I'm The Dude - no problem with your post.
To be honest I regard R&R as a game - Deal or No Deal - sometimes I walk away with some freebies - other times with nothing.
Of course I concur that R&R is legal - and I've already said (if you read my post again) that bulk-buy R&R is also legal.
The point I was trying to make - more for the benefit of newbies to be honest - is that if you want to R&R for the long haul then you need to adopt a reasonable attitude.
If you load a trolley with mis-priced goods you enhance the risk of coming up on the Tesco radar.
If you want to think "stuff it, I'm doing nothing wrong" - that's fine but you shouldn't cry too loudly if you get adverse attention from CS staff or Head Office.
And no, His Dudeness has not been worn down to the ground - I find most CS staff now-a-days seem to apply the policy without asking - and when I face a hostile member of staff a calm polite approach wins the day - I think I've gone to Head Office only twice this year when CS staff have refused to play ball.
To give this some context - I use 3 credit accounts and cash for R&Rs - one of these accounts is my main current account and I track this and one of the other credit accounts with MS Money - it tells me that I have had 139 refunds this year from Tesco - I would imagine that if I tracked the other account and cash purchases 300 refunds this year would be an accurate guess.
But to get to the main point of my post - if you are a serial R&Rer and you choose to raise your profile - you do risk getting in the Tesco gun-sights - it's as simple as that.
But hey, we can agree to differ Tax - this is healthy debate and wouldn't it be boring if we all agreed on everything - but I feel it's important for readers of this thread to understand the whole of your story - not just selected comments.

Fair play, Dude, I welcome your comments and take my hat off to you. We're both Premier League R+Rers but our approaches differ, and it's helpful to newcomers to understand how and why our methods vary.
Just to clarify one point - I've never loaded up a trolley with mispriced goods, nor have I ever advocated this. I've only bought quantities of a mispriced item on a very small number of occasions, like Duracell batteries or cases of Stella where I've bought 2 or 3 in one go, and usually this was through necessity because the misprice was via a multisave offer.0 -
Is it just me or was this post very hard to read over on mispricesAMIE399 wrote:Picked Up A Garlic And Lemon Chicken 1.5kg White Sel £2.99
£3.99 On Pack... Charged £3.99
Cs Said Oh It Must Be The Smaller Size Thats On Offer.. I Pointed Out The White Sel To Her And Said That This Wasnt An Offer (the Other Flavours Had Yellow £2.99 Sels )
She Then Kept Saying, No Its The Smaller Chickens Not Your One ! I Said The Sel Says 1.5kg And So Does My Chicken So It Has To Be A R&r. She Then Studied The Bar Codes And Said They Were Different And That I Cant Have An R&r. I Stood My Ground And Replied .. Since When Do Customers Go Around Checking Barcodes Against Food, The Sel Clearly Says Garlic And Lemon Chicken 1.5kg And So Does Mine !!! Another Sales Asst Who Was Putting Out Yet More Of Them Told Her That I Was Right !!! Has Anyone Else Had This Happen
In The End Got Full R&r... Wish I Had Got 6 Just To P*ss Her Off More !!!!!!! Lol

I reckon you thank them politely, say it was worth asking and bid them goodbye ! I suspect that an exchange is up to their goodwill unless its faulty.ELITE 5:2
