As far as taking photos in store is concerned, I've thought of a way around this, only really works on big items though, not grocery.
"My OH sent me to buy this **kettle/microwave/hoover/TV/Noddy annual** and I took a pic and sent it to her to make sure it was the right one, hang on, I think I might still have it on my phone"
Strange how the pic manages to get more of the SEL in it than it does the product....Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -

Or you could even say..
"If you really want to take the moral high ground you shouldnt be shopping at Tescos in the first place as Tesco conduct almost everything they do in their business in a morally wrong way, just ask local shopkeepers, farmers etc"Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
I am confused, splinter cell on PS2 was scanning at 24.77 in my local store yesterday but everyone seems to be getting it to scan at 29.83, has anyone else scanned it since Thursday (when I got my copy and it was 29.99)Real men never follow instructions; after all they are just the manufacturer's opinion on how to put something together.0

Greetings all
Just did a little "shopping" , well actually I did do my shopping but stumbled upon £30.96 of r+r today :rotfl:
3 drivers kits and a cd (Jack johnson)
Either box price or stickered wrong. No arguments , didnt have to bring out "El ballistico" my alter ego. He was in the car
Every little helps;) £2051.50 since Oct 25 2006Make mine a Golden £143.46

I thought I spotted that yesterday, however, as I was there for a meeting with the store manager about getting my ban overturned I thought it best not to rock the boat (not straight away anyway, will be bide my time)

if this policy was inforced then it should apply at checkout and not when they have overcharged you.
Agree entirely
The purchase has been made. I had the same with some items the other day.
I said if i bought 1000 of these you would say "no problem sir", but because you have the prices wrong I can rightly claim a refund. You cannot move the goalposts because it suits tescos. £2051.50 since Oct 25 2006Make mine a Golden £143.46

MyUserNamesTaken wrote:Actually, if I were a store manager and someone kept taking advantage of my store's price promise, I wouldn't ban that individual. I would do my utmost to make sure the prices are correct in my store. Personally, punishing someone who is smart enough to take advantage of my staff's (and my own) ineptitude and incompetence is wrong. It wouldn't solve the problem of incorrect pricing in my store. I'd rather sort out the problem than punish some poor sod for noticing.
Constantine, although not a store manager, is a very good example of how a manager should act. If a customer keeps finding pricing errors and using the policy to his advantage, that doesn't make the customer bad. If anything, the customer has highlighted a problem in the store which needs to be dealt with by the store management.
The other day i had a refund + retain on 3 xbox titles. CS + Manager thanked me for bringing it to their attention, and said " It could have been more money+ much worse " eg trading standards fine:idea: £2051.50 since Oct 25 2006Make mine a Golden £143.46
