gerturdeanna wrote:What is Tesco's bulk buy policy with regards to R&R?
I bought 3 cd's and was only given R&R on one.
they fobbed you off, i got an rnr on three identical xbox games the other day and they tried to tell me there was a bulk buy poilcy of one item on items priced over £30 i then said so you would have a problem if i was to purchase three bottles of champange despite offering a 5% discount on 6 bottles? his head nearly imploded at that point....
if this policy was inforced then it should apply at checkout and not when they have overcharged you.TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -
balloonist wrote:No I've just grown up a little. Misprices were already posted and I'm not sorry I had a moment of being a good Samaritan. Too many times I have seen people on this website going on about visiting lots of different stores R and Ring the same items which clearly they are going to flog on. There are only so many mobile phones, for example, that one person needs.
I'm just going through a phase when I'm finding it all too sad. I work in retail and have had to deal with seasoned shoplifters and I'm seeing little difference to some people's posts on this forum.
Sorry, but just my view today
Surely your post should be on the etics thread? and if you felt that strongly about the subject then why do you read this thread.0 -

Taxiphil: " If you don't want the items yourself, wouldn't it be more prudent to tell other MSE-ers about them on the misprice thread, rather than telling Tesco about them?"........Either way,YOU ARE telling MR T about them.0

You don't have to buy the pens but I wouldn't try using them with the Asda specific ones as well ! Not all Tescos will accept those and you don't want them paying too much attention to the pen coupon ! I've mange 4 successes- 1st cashier said'oh this has gone thru at £4.50 - I'll go into Asda after work and get some mags myself!' "nd onesaid'oh thats good, you've got £4.50 off - and wrote £4.50 on the coupon', 3rd one didn't even notice, 4th on said 'thats a good deal'. I've only had one spotted, checked with CS and over-ridden.
You need to buy enough stuff to 'hide' the £4.50 reduction - other legit coupons might help especially now the club card coupons are about.ELITE 5:2

My view, and it is only my view having had loads of refunds in the past totally hundreds of pounds, is that I hate Tescos with a passion but doesn't mean I have to go out of my way all the time to, in my words, legitamitely shoplift from them.
Sorry, but you are completely wrong. You cannot compare shoplifting with using Tesco's price promise policy to your own advantage. At the end of the day, shoplifting is theft - a criminal offence. Claiming a refund on an overcharged item is not theft. It is not criminal. I think you'll find that 99.9% of the people who post on or read this thread would never consider shoplifting from any store, let alone Tesco. I think most people would agree that shoplifting is both morally and legally wrong. R&Ring is not legally wrong and is at the most, morally dubious.
If you want to start getting a conscience, why not complain to TS every time you see Tesco displaying a misleading SEL, or no SEL at all? That way, you're not abusing the policy, but you are doing something about what you have seen. After all, if you're going for the moral high ground, you should be doing something about Tesco's criminal activities when you spot them. It would be morally wrong of you to stand back and let Tesco repeatedly break the law - guilty of inaction, no?In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

If you step back from the legalities and try and look at this from a Tesco stand-point - or perhaps get really peervy and imagine you run a Tesco store as a Manager.
If someone was repeatedly taking you to task on the Price Promise - getting your stock for free - approaching your staff with bulk buys of mis-priced goods - what are you going to do??
Offer your sister as well....or perhaps tell this individual that they are not welcome at your store.
The latter I suspect.

Constantine, although not a store manager, is a very good example of how a manager should act. If a customer keeps finding pricing errors and using the policy to his advantage, that doesn't make the customer bad. If anything, the customer has highlighted a problem in the store which needs to be dealt with by the store management. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

Don't want to be a spoilsport here(or maybe I do), but isnt there a specific thread for "coupon talk"Couponing....."every little hurts"
Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.
