Not following current thread, but a little birdy told me a while ago about Tesco and other supermarkets policy on BOGOF.
If you purchase these thinking that the lovely supermarket are offering them you would be mistaken. It is the supplier at the request from the supermarket(threat of being dropped) that has to give away the freebies.
So remember when picking up these who you are hurting, it is not the big man but the little guy. Read attachment.

Might even get 2!
Perhaps you can get them on your way out from your meeting with store manager.

Don't swat any flies you see in there, Plushchris - we're all in (convincing) disguise.

Depending on the outcome of the meeting, I may even get on in that store! :rotfl:
If not will deffo try on way home, trouble is the store doesnt have a scanner so it would be a classic "Oh I've forgotten my wallet/CC" scenario
Plus its the store I relieved of 24 cans of becks and an Xbox360 game last night!
Maybe wait til tomorrow....Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0 -
Any news on the dove gift sets someone thought the large blue and the large white sets weren't working on 3 for 2.0

You're right that the supplier funds the special offers. But just look at the suppliers behind the BOGOF products... Protcter & Gamble, Nestlé, Unilever, Masterfoods, CocaCola, Colgate Palmolive, Cadburys, Walkers Crisps (part of Pepsi)....
They can hardly be described as "little guys" - they're huge multinational corporations who turn over big profits, and these offers are just a part of their business strategies. Believe me, it doesn't "hurt" them when their products are on BOGOF - their prices are vastly inflated in the first place to ensure that they're still profitable even when they're on special offer.0 -

Actually, that's not entirely true. I tried CD (got an answerphone and was asked to leave my details) before going straight to my local TS office. I found the TS number online and rang them - they were most helpful. CD phoned me back a few days later, by which point TS had already visited the store in question. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

It would seem that my local Tescos: Cannock, Brownhills, Lichfield and New Oscott Extra all have a new way of dealing with the xbox game misprices....
They either display all games with a £39.99 (within a few pence) SEL or they just remove the games from the shelves entirely by hiding them in the trays below the shelves
Lego Star Wars, Just Cause, Splinter Cell all removed form 3 of the 4 stores
So if you buy a game form any of these stores then you might pay less than the SEL but never more so no R&R's at all
Still not had a single R&R
Also a new poster has gone up with FEAR as the new XBOX game of the week at £37.97 but theres none on the shelves and looking in its chart position the SEL has been removed and a different game put in its place0 -

Alan, thanks for that. However, it's already been discussed in depth over previous threads. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

This is true but what about all the fruit and veg, and meats if its local as sometimes is, it coul dbe neighbours that suffer. If its abroad there will be manual labourers suffering on low wages. Its these I was really referring to, not the likes of Cocacola, although I am sure some of their workers across the world don't do that well either. As my sig, seems to be offending some.
