Great I thought misses would be happy with that, until the offer is still working so no r&r!!

they did ;o)Real men never follow instructions; after all they are just the manufacturer's opinion on how to put something together.0 -

trouble is now my receipt shows a refund for the item I'm not sure that I'll be able to claim on the warranty if it goes wrong
Please tell me you're joking - it was free!
IF it goes wrong ...LAUGH!0 -

Nope we are not joking! Tesco refund the equivalent price you have paid for your item as a bribe, to stop you (hopefully) from reporting ALL their overcharges to Trading Standards.
They cannot ignore statutory rights even if they have refunded the equivalent of the price. You have still legitimately bought the item and have a valid receipt for statutory rights returns only. I bet if I took my free Console back if it broke down in the first year I might attract some frowns from CS desk staff when they see the item was fully refunded, BUT there would be nothing they could do about it except replace it (or even refund it again, if it were faulty, as per my statutory rights!).
HTH, now get yourselves down there (well maybe in the morning!).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
