I usually pay for things at the check out furthest from the CS desk. Means I have a nice long walk in which to look increasingly more curious about all these "mysterious" pricing anomalies - takes about 5 minutes to walk from one end to the other in some of my stores, avoiding the screaming kids, idiots with trolleys etc. :p
i like to r+r straight away just in case someones gets in b4 me;)

i have no idea why cs play at this game i dont know if they have anything to lose if they comply with company policy. unless they get very jealous because they're not able to r+r. surely as cs its in their best interest and the right thing to do to comply with company policy just like any other employees

    Pyschology.

I think that long-term or loyal employees have a sense of 'ownership' with Tesco plc - they see themselves as servants of Tesco first, customer service staff second.

Also - it's human nature to shy away from acknowledging that a mistake has been made - especially when you are putting your hands up on behalf of someone else's mistake - i.e. another employee.

I know this might be a longshot but........ has anybody ever contacted Sir Terry Leahy's office by letter and had a reply or positive outcome of their enquiry/complaint? I know miracles don't happen very often, but perhaps Tesco's do pull them off now and again.

I have emailed Mr Leahy directly over the Xbox 360 issue and made a formal complaint as to Mr Kellys agreessive and threatening behaviour. I have also backed up my email with trading standards section 3.1.1 (Price Indications) which they were in breach of.

I am still awaiting a response from Mr Leahy or Chairmans office.

Anybody have an address to write a letter of complaint to regarding attitude/treatment by cs staff over r and r?

Found Xbox360 double agent yesterday and got a refund on it, went in today and found the same one, STILL incorrectly priced so got it again. Apparently because I know about the policy, I'm not allowed to use it, and also I'm not allowed to use the policy because the labels should have been removed yesterday.

Surely its not my job to go around taking all their illegal advertising down and it is their staff that are not doing their jobs properly that should be disciplined for this, not me. And surely how can customers be told that because they know about a policy, they're not allowed to use it? If customers DONT know about the policy, Tescos never own up and tell them they're entitled to rnr anyway! They only offer the difference (like they did yesterday) unless you know about it.

Anyway, got a refund but was given some right attitude. Told I would never be allowed another refund in the store again (this does not affect your statutory rights?) and from now on if I ever visit the store security would be watching my every move. All this ontop of the horrible looks, attitude, and grief given by the several staff that surrounded. Bullied springs to mind.

    hi

did my online tesco shop & noticed that their finest range of soups and sauces were advertised as 2 for £1! they are usually £3.58-£3.98 for 1! so i thought this was a bargain and ordered 8.

order arrived today, paper work said buy 2 save £1 - i cheked online again and it's def advertised as 2 for £1.

contacted online cs, R &R -£15.12 refunded yippee!

not sure if this is the same in store, but is online

Thats nasty! At the end of the day I think you are in the right and dont deserve that treatment by CS. Its not like they go home and think about you with a hatred is it! But you maybe took the **** by doing it 2 days on the trot at the same store. Did u notice the same CS staff were on?
