Have the TV's not got 'dvd' boxes that you take to the tills to pay for them alongside? If so, take these and get them scanned to check what they are priced at.DTD - Doing Tesco Daily - while I still have vouchers!0

i asked for r&r and she didn't think they offered r&r's online, but spoke to her manager who offered full refund not just the difference in over charge
the sell by date is end of nov and yes yu can freeze them
Sorry Jobie, worked it out on your previous post that soups were £3 something each, just noticed they are £1 something each.Real men never follow instructions; after all they are just the manufacturer's opinion on how to put something together.0 -

No, my store just have massive bloody boxes with the tele's in0 -
My concern is if i paid for the tv and it was a missprice then they could get out of it because the tv's boxes are 27'' and the label say 26''0

remember those tv's a few weeks back what i want to know is why was certain stores allowed to put the sel of 799.99 if all tescos should pay the same price for the same product. was it inside info ?
those tvs are now 799 in our local store0 -
Xbox 360 games back to £39.99 on SEL I asked the SA (who was putting all the new games out) if they were cheaper the other day and she said she wasn't sure but everything gets changed on a Friday.
I lost sleep over this last night! Still haven't had 1 r&r!Murphy's No More Pies Member No. 28 on hold0 -

*note to self: remember to walk out of the store then come back in again before talking to CS about r+r*
And this is a fairly common opening gambit from CS staff trying to side-step a R&R.
I, like many others on here, tend to wander outside the store for a few minutes after the purchase...
...unless it's raining in which case I bimble along to the CS desk frowning at my receipt.
...I suppose it does make you look more genuine if you are being scoped by Security.

Mike_J wrote:Oh no, my trips may be over. Tonight I went to my local Tesco and spotted the Xbox360 Splinetr Cell mispost on a promotional display. Just to be sure I checked (mistaek 1). Then (and probably mistake 2) I took a game from the "unpriced" chart display and put it where mine came from (for possible benefit of other R&Rer. I purchased the game, was overcharged and went to CS for refund. Duty manager came over a said that I had been spotted on CCTV checking price so knew about the overcharge. I had also been spotted moving additional game to display. Result. no R&R and a polite request to leave the store and not to return:eek: Very politely told I could take the matter up with HO as report would be forwarded but going of other comments on here little chance
Problem is I know some of the staff who were there at the time so little chance of sneeking in. I can still do my shopping at smaller Express store but R&R scouts will now be very restricted.
I point of note was comment by duty manager that they had notice a number of customer setting "regular" refunds and hence were "keeping an eye-out".
Any other come-back. Could they get me banned at other stores through either my clubcard or credit/debit card?
That's a bummer man.
Your situation aside, I hope that this does not kick off the paranoid price checker debate again.
Perhaps you've been hitting the same store & CS staff too often or with some big R&Rs and have found yourself on their radar screen?
I've never been challenged this way - but have thought the scenario through - I would have claimed to be scanning something else that didn't have a price on - CCTV footage has a poor resolution - unlikely they could make out the product.
If you want to use this particular store for your normal shopping I would suggest that you will have no problems.
My local store almost - almost banned His Dudeness back in March - I generally R&R elsewhere - I will hit my local store late in the evening from time-to-time just for a kick
I would suggest that you bite the bullet - don't involve Head Office - keep your head down and then go back for more R&R fun - eventually CS staff will change - and try different shopping times just for R&R trips.

Daxman wrote:Can anyone help me with this one. Lets use XBOX GAMES as example.
How comes some games in the top 10 chart are SEL at £39.96 and others at £39.97. Ive had a few games on R'R this week but they have bn labelled at £34.** or £36.** so i knew it was a sure thing.
I was tempted to try one of the games ending with SEL .96 but didnt risk it. Anyone got any thoughts on this one?
I generally sweep through console games looking for any odd patterns.
For instance in the past PSP or DS games with a £xx.94 were always worth investigating as these were scanning at £xx.97 or £xx.99.
Also check stickered prices against the SEL - if the SEL is higher then you are probably onto a winner.
Ultimately there is no pattern that continues forever and a day - Tesco eventually correct most (not all) prices or (more usually) simply rip all the stickers off.
You just need to keep searching for any odd looking prices.
