'Taken, that is the second thread that I read and it too is dominated by 'boys toys'. It gets a bit much to plough through sometimes and I wondered if those happy with steak and wine bored the high fliers..........
It was just a passing thought as I wondered if newbies could be scared off with all this talk of HO, managers and 'fights for rights'.
I'm happy to stand on the sidelines
Still want to thank you all for the education though.0 -
ginjim wrote:i have no idea why cs play at this game i dont know if they have anything to lose if they comply with company policy. unless they get very jealous because they're not able to r+r. surely as cs its in their best interest and the right thing to do to comply with company policy just like any other employees
Me - "Oh but I thought you gave all the money back if I pay more than I should have".
Then I get the the comments/question on both occasions - "Oh so you know the policy then. How do you know the policy?"
Me - Pointing to the large sign on the wall behind them "It's in your 'and if things don't add' up section on the sign as well as all the little signs on the checkouts."
It seems to be some sort of game - I was tested on the 'overprice' by them asking me the difference - at this point they probably expected me to say I want a full refund. When I didn't it's "We'll refund you the difference then."
On a previous occasion when I got a refund on a stereo there was absolutely no problem with it at all and I hardly said a word - it was offered to me rather than me asking for it, but again that was in a different store from the aforementioned ones. It simply comes down to the CS advisor that you get as far as I am concerened. Some are obviously quite aware of their own policy but will still attempt to refund the difference or whatever. Maybe they are just jealous because they see so many people walking away with free goods and they can't do it themselves?0 -

Yesterday, I purchased 2 x Pringles at £1.38 each OR 2 for £2.30
When I checked my receipt at home, I've been charged £1.38 twice, no discount showing at end of bill
Does this mean I can go back to my local Tesco & claim the whole refund?
Yes it does, out of interest what flavours were they?TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -

Out of curiosity, which flavours did you buy as I know sometimes this is a factor in the R&R - apologies if this has been covered elsewhere!0 -

No, you wouldn't, as PES 6 is now scanning at £39, making the advertised saving on the bundle correct. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

hi
did my online tesco shop & noticed that their finest range of soups and sauces were advertised as 2 for £1! they are usually £3.58-£3.98 for 1! so i thought this was a bargain and ordered 8.
order arrived today, paper work said buy 2 save £1 - i cheked online again and it's def advertised as 2 for £1.
contacted online cs, R &R -£15.12 refunded yippee!
not sure if this is the same in store, but is online
