It doesnt have to be displayed, i did one last night and it wasnt displayed which i found strange but they still have to adhere to the policy, as does every other Tesco store..0

Got an RNR on a second phone this morning after a right performance.... Purchased the phone last night, 20 never came off, - thought i would be sneaky and hide a console game under a couple of big crisp packets and have the phone right at the front of the shop so all the cashier would see was the phone and 2 packs of crisps when the "£40" shop message would have appeared on his screen... but an assistant came to help with the shopper in front and spotted my phone and said "i'll go and collect that for you..." so he scanned everything but the phone and we waited for her to return, finally she did but still it didnt come off.
Off i went to cs, "ive been over charged etc" "oh sorry, heres the £20" "is that right, i was previously overcharged on some doritos and was given the item and my money back, thought this was store policy"...
they wouldnt cave, so i got hte duty manager, he insisted "there is no way i am refunding you xxx.xx" i said i'd call head office, he said fine, i knew i'd just missed them by four minutes, so i said are you refusing to refund me in line with store policy.. "they are only guidelines" with that i left telling him i would take it higher..
I arrived at the store again this morning and guess who was still on duty, this time he refused to even come and speak to me choosing instead to relay via the CSA, so i called head office and spoke to a girl there who agreed i had been overcharged and would call him and inform him to apply a full refund. I was then waiting about the store for 15 minutes when i decided to call the store directly and spoke to him on the phone, he then informed me that he had asked head office to talk to the legal team (who wouldnt arrive till 9am it was 08:44) as he was still refusing the refund... i then had to wait and again called head office to complain about this and they have told me to report him to his regional manager and store manager and that the legal team had told him to refund me... at this point the CSA told me he had authorised the refund.
I'm half tempted to call the jumped up little hitler later to gloat...TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -
Many CS staff will just R'R the goods to you and say "You've been overcharged so you get a full refund etc......." Others will try and give you the difference. All you have to say is "I know the Tesco Policy" point at the board and that should be enough. Unless you get an awkward one!0

LOL..security guard ( so long as female) counts, they all Tesco employee's so I think under game rules that counts as bagged points.
If your female, male security defo counts, I often find them following female customers around the store offering "personal shopping assistance " !!!
Bottom line is that I try make my R&R'ing as much fun as possible.
Can see why other may not approve of this, but hell life is way to short to worry.Back to square one, no apg, no comment.0 -
Someone explain what 'Frequent' is being defined as on here0

hi there... can someone please answer my question soon. this is getting me real worried now!
basically was refused for a RnR on a phone this morning (£20 didnt come off), so i refunded EVERYTHING at the end. i gave them a FALSE NAME AND ADDRESS cuz i didnt want to be on their record, and paid n refund with my debit card. i dont have a clubcard.
i just rang up the head office and told them the situation. gave them my false name and address again because the lady said she has to check it up with the stores.
now i am bit worried that they will find out its not my address and accused me of something else. i dont have a clubcard, and what if they find out the address that i have given to them actually belongs to someone else with a clubcard...
i think i am going back off this one, before they put me to prison... im bit scared here, i hope someone can reassure me what is going to happen now...
can they find out who i actually am with my debit card details? aww i wish i gave them my real address and name, but i was so panicking then...
thank you very much everyone. all informations are apperciated...0 -
I`m female and the security guard is male and very cute too.I`ve noticed him a few times in my local, one of which I haven`t tried to R+R in.I`ve had a few winks and smiles off him but tonight I`m going for the kill.
Dont think I`ll get much R+R info out of him,but every little helps!Debt Free Date:10/09/2007 :j :money:0 -
Kevin Kelly has told me today that because I inadvertently picked up a seperate X Box and game THEN got given an X Box bundle by the CS as a 'goodwill gesture' that I am in the wrong completely as far as being misinformed about the promotion. He said because there were no bundle packs on display then the offer wasn't available. The 'goodwill gesture' was not mentioned by CS at the time that she sorted it out, just something KK has come up with I think. But........ my question is - if I go into Tesco today and find and X Box bundle box, pay £279.97 - am I then entitled to argue that I have been sold the item and not had the promotion saving given as expected?DTD - Doing Tesco Daily - while I still have vouchers!0
