Have spotted the xbox stand in a store last night giving the "SAVE 19.96" etc on the PES/360 bundle....
PES is given as selling at £39.96 according to the stand, anyone know if it is still going through at 37.XX? and if so does the fact they have exagerated the "saving" by a couple of pounds constitute a definate RNR - even if this takes a call to head office?TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -

By no means a definate and the company line is to turn it away any claims at the meoment. But each store is different0 -

It is still the same in my eyes they have not honoured the wording of the offer, regardless of whether the final price is still right by way of default in their system. It is up to the shop surely to check that their prices and advertising match up to each other so the customer actually gets what they think is the price saving. Not for the store to come up with some 'get out' clause after the sale has been made. They have made the sale and taken my money, I have the goods thus ends the contract surely? Or am I wrong?
I'm not trying to say that you're wrong - simply that this is a dodgy mis-price at best from a 'reasonable' perspective.
Read my post again.
Sometimes the quest for R&R can become emotive - try to look at the scenario again.....
....but this time try and see this from the Tesco point of view - or from a neutral stand-point - can any argument in favour of a mis-price for this one be considered as being reasonable?
Forget any legal or moral stand-points - I still maintain that the average Dude would not perceive this as a valid mis-price - any non-R&R shopper would simply look at the SEL, see that this matches the receipt - and walk away fairly content.
Heaven knows that I'm not on Tesco's side but I don't feel that there is conspiracy here to avoid a R&R - if there was the offending SELs would be torn down, hidden or scribbled over across the country - this happened during the First XBOX R&R Conflict.
Your argument and maths are indeed valid - but from a Tesco point of view you come across as someone with R&R clearly in their gun-sights when paying for the Console - and not as a wronged shopper.

n20y1d i tried ho last nite they said i should be elilgable for a refund, but had to investigate with the store. They came back and said no as its a promotion not a misprice. I said well your policy says if it doesn't add up then i get it free, and seeing as i never got the £20 it didn't add up. They put the phone down on me, so going to ring back today. Any advice appreciated0

oh also, i got a R&R on splinter cell, went in the same store yesterday and ive never seen so many staff with handheld scanners, think every aisle in the shop had one or 2 staff price checking everything. When i went down the dvd/games the girl had a trolly full of dvd's, Harry potter (not sure which one) was one of the dvd's in her trolly. They were scanning and if it didn't add up they filled their trolly with all the stock0

@ Dude - have to agree with you. This one always seemd a bit tenous to say the least. It may even give our "friends" in Dundee some unnecessary bravado for future run ins with them.
But good luck to any of you who try it, and lets hear from anyone who has been succesfull.
edit - Thinking of adding a sig to trawl for Thanks - the amount of people who have had Xbox games vs those who have thanked me is a bit off kilter.0 -
Promo Change over hence the handheld scanners,
these dont display the price, but just ensure all old labels have been replaced by new ones!0 -
I have now performed my first R&R (with the second following very quickly thereafter) - Thank you to all contributors.
R and R on mobile (£20 not come off at till) and no problemo.
Thanks everyone - room for another person to join your club?
Thanks also to Tesco for a good policy and handling it so well. As they are honourable I think I shall do all my shopping with them.0
