    NO they were overtaking me!

Well how come you weren't hit up the chuff then?

Either they were in another lane or someone was driving in the icey gutter.

Why not get someone else with a few years motoring experience in different cars to take the Pug for a spin and get a second opinion on it.
Ideally that someone else would someone with a working knowledge of the mechanics of a car and be able suggest / diagnose anything questionable found.
Saying a car "feels funny" or you lost control isn't really much to go on if you want to return the car to the dealership.

Don't be stupid, if they were overtaking you they must have been in a different lane, otherwise they would have run in to the back of you.

    Jeez. some people.

No from a proper dealership I drove the same make and model but the car was at their other garage much further away

So what other problems does the car have?

How did it drive 6 weeks ago?

    You mean.;)

No I just think I have asked for some help and advice not to be told I am stupid, i realise I have bought a bad make of car and am asking for advice on where I stand on trading it in etc not to be told I was overtaken on a single lane road or to have my words misquoted for someone elses pleasure.

MSE threads and boards are always helpful friendly people I just think noone has actually given any sensible advice bar one just criticism

I am obvisouly very very stupid, I was driving on a one lane road I lost control where cars behind me on the exact same road driving faster than me did not, they then were behind me where they overtook me after driving over the same piece of road I had spun on. How does this make it a different lane or road?

I doubt you have a case for taking it back for a refund/exchange, especially if it's been over a month and there's nothing actually wrong with it. Just wondering why it's been in the garage for over a week and why you took it back today? if there's still a fault that they havent rectified then it might be worth talking to trading standards.

On the other hand if the cars fine and you just have lost confidence in it because you skidded on ice, which is just one of things, then I think you either have to get used to it or sell it and take the hit financially.

Well it is impossible to help some people.

If you cannot grasp the basics, how can anyone help you.
