Would this therefore mean being 3 payments away from paying for the whole car i can now be left with nothing?0 -
Can you claim insurance premiums back then if it was invalid? Paying for something thats void anyway.0

OK, fair enough, then all of this is down to you I'm afraid, you cannot lay the blame anywhere else.
Sorry if that sounds harsh, but it is the reality of the situation.
Yes i fully understand but am looking for advice regarding my legal rights to the car since i am 3 payments away from owning the car out right. I have always had insurance and realise where the blame begins, however to forefit the car, today (the day my car was take by the finance )when in reality i was legally able to drive yesterday as my new licence was issued0 -

Unfortunately it doesn't work like that. The insured has the responsibility of informing the insurance company of any changes to vehicle, personal details, licence etc.
Each driver should be aware of his/her responsibilities with their drivers licences.0 -
Sounds to me like you will probably end up with nothing here, sorry."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0

But you have not had insurance, your insurance has been invalid since your licence was revoked.
You have been paying an insurance premium, but that does not mean that you have been insured.0 -

Can't you make the three payments, plus the other charges and get the car back?My licence was posted by DVLA today.... the finance company ....welcome finance want full payment for the car plus £370 pound release fee and possible charges for collecting the car from the pound. In reality it has taken 3 working days to get a new licence is this fair?0 -

Hiya... YES that is what the finance company has said, pay up plus all charges for the car to be returned... i will have to pay a lot but, i guess it serves me right for being complacent.
I am awaiting a settlement figure by tomorrow as there seems to be an additional £1300 on top of the £823.55 i owe plus the £370 police pound charge.0
