as your licence HAS to follow you at every address you reside at if you live at one address and

Wrong, you only have to be contactable at the address.

i'm affraid you wont hear the last of this either, you maybe reported to the CPS for driving without a valid licence and valid insurance, if your insurance was revoked, (this is arguable and maybe beaten in court under special circumstances) if convicted of both at a magistrate if plead guilty a ban is most likely with a fine and costs, plead not guilty then a jury will decide, if found guilty a lenghy ban and hefty fine plus costs. i'd wait to see of you have a NIP through the post soon

When did the OP post her policy for you to read? They may well still cover her.

If not she's looking at 6 points for no insurance so it's hardly a ban.

However it is very common for people with points to ask for a new licence then keep the old one to produce when asked, so they can show a clean licence, .

They have an issue number on them to avoid this don't they? Last digits in row 5

    Yeah they do.

Maybe he will tell us how ANPR gets to the bottom of it.

Number Plate reader and duplicate licences. I can't see the link.

ANPR wont detect any form of driving licence fraud, intentional or otherwise.

And the OPs insurance company are still liable for third party risks under the RTA (though they do have the right to then go after the OP personally for the money) so she wasn't driving without insurance.

again your wrong here. you have to update records with the dvla with regards to your address, if a coppa plays by the book and your registered at one address on the electorial roll housing register and licence registered at another a fine of £1000 max is applicable.

and again i'm giving advice on what may still happen, and a ban could be on the cards, thats down to a judge to decide, but no insurance can come with a BAN plus she had no entitlement to drive during her revokation period wich will be taken into account.

Thats utter tripe. You need an address at which the DVLA can contact you. Electrol roll means nothing. Think of travellers.;)

    Unless you can prove different.

Again you talk carp she was entitled to hold a licence. Can you back that up?

Who cares, it's her business, not ours.

It would be had she hit you and her insurers found out she had no licence. Although you would get paid out eventually, it'd be a considerably long and drawn out process.

For the sake of this thread, and the amount of brow beating that's gone on, I'll chance it.

They pay you straight out. They can't avoid their 3rd party liability as has already been said.;)

again read this from uswitch http://www.uswitch.com/car-insurance/driving-without-insurance/

it is a finable offence for not changing your address on your licence, taken from my driving licence in part 5. on the reverse in bold black ink it says, failure to notifychanges as described above (as in changes to names, perminant address and health) IS A CRIMINAL OFENCE punishable by a fine of £1000.

perminant residence is where you live MOST of the time, your registered at with a housing authority, electorial roll, where your bank statements are and insurance and Vehicle is registered to.
got check your licence. (if you have one)

as most will clarify you can drive on revokation for upto 12months after that your officially unlicenced. do the math when the OP had that revoke implemented and when she was stopped youll find that she was out of that 12 month period. so inturn can be charged with driving whilst disqualified or without a licence one carries points one carries a ban. to simplify it for you go here http://www.pattersonlaw.co.uk/Offences/Driving-without-a-licence.php

travellers travel so have NO FIXED ABODE and the change of address doesnt apply. OP has a fixed address!

unless you can prove otherwise to all the above actually i'd love to see the law of GENE_HUNT.
