Ate lasagne sheets that were out of date Dec 2009 :eek:Truth always poses doubts & questions. Only lies are 100% believable, because they don't need to justify reality. - Carlos Ruiz Zafon, The Labyrinth of the Spirits0

That would be best before, chicken has use by, which is different.0 -
If it smelled before you cooked it I wouldn't tbh but that's just me, as others have said if you're happy to even try it then have a bite and see what you thinkCredit Card: £796 Left/£900 October 2011 :eek:Store Card: £100 October 2011

Any meat that smells off is a health hazard. Not worth it IMO." The greatest wealth is to live content with little."

If it's just on the turn and not totally rancid rinse it under the tap for a minute or two.
A pro chef told me this so I expect it is standard restaurant practice.
I'm a pro chef and I can tell you that it is not standard restaurant practice. No self-respecting chef would EVER take a chance with chickcen. We would definitely use a bit of common sense when it comes to use by dates on meat and how they look/smell, but dodgy smelling chicken would go straight in the bin.0 -

I went to work feeling very smug this morning, knowing that a yummy sausage & bean casserole was cooking away in my slow cooker.
However, my OH, in all his wisdom, must have turned it off on the power on his way out when he went to work about 15 mins after me. :mad:The sausages have been sat on the side all day in the cooker, will they be ok to cook? And how long will it take on high, accounting for both the meat and beans?2011 Wins : Models own makeup product, Photoplusx4 software:j Mens hair dye :rotfl:0 -

Perhaps pop it in the oven to get it done quicker? Hmm I'm not sure I'd trust it but it's totally up to you - seems a waste of ingredients0
