Sorry to disagree green, but dogs cannot catch lice from humans as they're species specific. But I do agree in that the dogs should go to the vets asap for tests if it doesn't clear up.0

Sorry Devil30 but green is right. Although lice are usually species specific and you would expect them to be dog lice (if they are lice, could also be a tick I suppose which can be much larger than fleas) it is occasionally possible for you to get other species. Doesn't happen very often but I have seen human pubic lice on a dog once - now there is a fun conversation with the owner!! A vet should be easily be able to identify the actual critters and find you something suitable to get rid of them.0

Thanks snowman2!
Technically they shouldn't hang around on different species, and most parasites are species specific, BUT if there is a warm, friendly body, and everywhere else is full...
I have taken skin scrapes off too many animals with human parasites on them - and yuo are right snowman2, it usually causes WWIII between you and the client, and then they move onto accusing many members of fmaily.friends etc.

i cannot answer your question but would like to know why everyone urgh and you say your friend is a skank(but how can you call them a friend and refer to them as a skank anyway?)
me and my kids frequently get nits (they are all of school age) and i kind of felt like c*** when i saw people saying urgh!
sorry not having a go just wopnderign if people actually do still think of nits in this way .0 -

She is a friend. Just a very skanky one! She admits it too!0

Most parasites like clean conditions, but do need a bit of food, e.g blood, hair skin etc!
So, I think most people know about nits liking clean hair - I think the urgh was the fact that for a dog to have caught a parasite of a human means they must be pretty infested!!!
Glad all has cleared up Harvey - good old frontline!Give yourself a Chistmas bonus £14 a week!
