Hi all,
Got some exciting news, can't even remember if I said we were going to view some houses last week, but anyway, we got one.....
It's lovely, at the top of our budget but we could really see ourselves living there and it's in practically walk-in condition. We will need to either take my appliances or buy new ones as they are only leaving the integrated oven (obviously), but that's fine. We could even get my sister's to club in and buy us a washing machine or something - my washing machine and cooker (which I don't need anyway) are over 8 years old. Fridge is 2 years old but might need to get a separate fridge/freezer, can't quite remember. I'm so excited, so is OH but I think he's a little more subdued than me.
I've already started majorly decluttering my house, to put on the market but we have the deposit sorted anyway. Six months ago I wasn't ready to leave my house but now I am in the mindset of that I just want to go and live with OH in our own house. Entry date is beginning of August.
Was thinking of letting my diary die down but think I will need to keep myself on the straight and narrow, ha.0 -

Oops that sounded quite bad, what I meant was my sister's who keep asking us what we want for a wedding present, could club in and buy us a washing machine as a present. Or even pay half of it as I really don't expect them to spend too much.
Really excited, it's only 11 weeks away til the entry date :eek:

Hi all, and thanks to SG and urg!
The diet/exercise regime has totally went to pot, I've been really stressed this week that my food diary has not been filled in and I've only managed the gym once since my last PT session - next one is tonight. I just know I've put weight on, but need to get my head into gear as I hate the thought of wasting my money just to put the weight back on.
Got to go and see a mortgage broker on Saturday, we did have a mortgage offer with the Halifax but he said he could probably get us a better deal - just unsure if there are fees involved for him to sort it, Mmmm. Solicitor sorted and getting ready to get the house on the market, been working hard to declutter big-style but still loads to do. Hoping I can get it all done over the weekend, unless it rains and I can't get the garden done.
Phoned for someone to come and fix my fence, it's shoogilly and put the gate back up, OH has tried but it keeps coming out the wall again. Could be a few weeks til he can sort it due to his work etc. Don't want to spend a lot of money on it though as still have to pay my neighbour £80 for my half share of the joint fence, wish I could've got a new fence too but can't stretch to it.
Well my mantra the other day (as I was driving into work) was 'we will get this house, we will get this house', now it's going to be 'I will get my house sold quickly, I will, I will'. Even if sold quickly I can move into my mum's in the meantime and use my sister's spare room to store stuff in.
Ah, it's all go these days, trying hard to not creep into debt again but alas I think there might be some heading our way, until the house is sold that is.0 -
Woo hoo, how wrong can one person be, had my PT session tonight and I've lost 4lbs, yeehah! Not really sure how it happened as since last Thursday I've eaten a scone, two packets of yoghurt covered raisins and pasta, that and not eating proper meals. Makes me wonder though if I was still eating too much, Mmmm. Anyway off to bed now as I'm knacked. Night all x0

Thanks SG, think it might have been not eating loads that did it, cos it certainly wasn't loads of exercise.
Got the dentist at 3.30pm today to get my new gnashers, woo hoo! Had a plan for paying with combined savings but might have to rethink due to fees with the house. Also have spoken to the estate agent re putting my house on the market, instead of it being 1% of the selling price in fees, because the lawyer is doing the legal work, it'll only be £400 + VAT, another EA was going to be 1.5% so I'm going with this one.
My house will sell, my house will sell...........0
