HI Swinstie,
Looks like we've both been busy - how's it all going?
urg x x0 -
Hi all,
Long time no hear (and by the looks of it, I've been abandoned) :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Anyway, been busy with buying of new house (still no viewings on mines and I'm trying not to worry) BUT we get our keys 3 weeks tomorrow :j:j:j
Had problems getting OH's mortgage protection, he was declined as his blood sugar was quite high but we managed to get one in the end, paying a wee bit more than hoped for but hey ho at least he has cover. Nothing much else being going on, haven't even begun to catch up on diaries (Urg you are first), maybe after the weekend once I get my spa day over with0 -

Evening all, well some good news and some (well not anymore) bad news.....
Our new house has the sold board up, woohoo - we seen it on a drive-by, well a drive into the estate and right past the house moment, today.
Bad news, was that I thought I was going to be buying it alone. Got woken at 6.35am this morning by the house phone ringing, seen the number was OH's but then heard his dad's voice. Turns out OH was on his way to hospital in an ambulance as he had taken a major hypo attack. I was freaking out so much, called my boss and hysterically told him what had happened and that I was on my way to see him. He's half an hour away from me and it was coming into rush hour traffic but I managed to get there ok. His dad had heard a thumping noise and thought OH's mum had fallen again, he found him taking a fit on the floor and called an ambulance. OH said his brain was working and he was aware of everything but he couldn't speak or move his body. He'd somehow managed to push himself off the bed and thump on the floor to alert them. So glad his dad wasn't at golf as his mum would never have heard.
Anyway, his dad was trying to find his insulin but luckily didn't find it as it could've killed him. His sugars were down to 2. He's ok now and home from hospital but he got a huge fright. Turns out, he'd had three hard sessions in the gym and that along with his physical work had made his sugars crash, he should've lowered his insulin apparantley to compensate.
I am so relieved and also shattered, so off to bed now and praying for no phone calls in the morning. On top of that, called my mum only to find out she had been in hospital last night but no-one told me so they wouldn't worry me. She's fine but had taken a fainting spell and bad panic attack. The drama is over now for both of them thankfully, stopped at mum's on my way home tonight and she's defo ok.
Bed for me, I am bushwhacked - OH has been in bed ages, he is knacked. Night all x0 -
Blimey how frightening.

Thanks Beanie, he's ok now and has been checking his bloods regularly. And not going to the gym as often.
Well, as I'm going to be very busy over the next fews months and since my diary is well and truly resigned to the great MSE scrap heap in the sky, it's time to say farewell to one and all (probably just you Beanie, ha) - only joking SG and urg!
Debt has gone up slightly but it's joint house debt so not too worried about it. Life is too short to worry about the mundane things in life, OH's diabetic attack taught me not to dwell in the moment but get out there and live life a bit. It's good to save, it's good to not run up debt but it's also good to live life to the full and enjoy each moment, cos you never know when it could be your last.
Bye all and thanks for listening and commenting, might see you around sometime xx0 -
