I have just reserved this cleaner in Argos - it has good reviews, and I think it should be well worth £40.

I have one, noisy but fantastic hoovers. Manages to deal with the fluff from six cats perfectly.0

Thanks for that - have just ordered one for my neighbour who struggles with the hairs from his little jack russell xxx:j0

I agree with KittyLady's post. I have a similar version to this and a great hoover (3 cats and messy 7 year old DS!), very powerful (and a bit heavy), thought it would pull the carpet up the first time I used it. Upholstery and stair attachment is great too. Would def recommend0

glad to read the reviews, i bought this last week but paid £44.99.
if it is that good I dont mind so much that i paid more!!0 -
I have one too, called a 'swift' pet, no doubt an older model. Agree it's heavy, but it's brilliant, we have a very hairy dog.
I use Neutradol vaccuum freshener sachets in it (from the 99p shop) and visitors often comment that the house never smells of dog:T0 -
I've just picked mine up, and tried it, and it's really good! It picks up much better than my old cleaner, so I'm happy. I've also just reserved two more, one for my parents, and one for my inlaws, because they all want one too!0

Just bought one and its fantastic!
Agree its very heavy, and its annoying that you have to put it all together but well worth the effort!
We have a pug, and they are infamous for their constant shedding of coarse hairs that get everywhere, normally the daily hoover takes up to an hour.... 10 minutes with the VAX and its spotless!0 -
My previous hoover was a Vax and it was great, might go for this one as my Samsung hoover has burnt all my carpet. Just a warning to anyone looking to buy a new hoover, avoid Samsung like the plague!0

Hi my Vax has just broken down ( only had it 3 weeks) so it needs to go back to Argos. I have this one http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10001&catalogId=1500002451&langId=-1&searchTerms=4063988
and find it incredibly noisy but worst of all the air blowing out of the exhaust is powerful enough to blow the the newspaper off the table. I blows the dust into the air, so much, that I have to shower after hoovering. I has a fantastically long lead which I love.
Does Vax pet bagless cleaner in Argos that op recommends have the same noise/exhaust problems?
TIA
