• Did anyone else try to order from woolworths but the basket emptied before completing? I've got a paypal payment showing for woolworths, but not of my attempts completed and I don't have any order showing under my account or had any order confirmation emails. (I ordered from Very in the end). I just want to warn others to check.

I have emailed very company rep and he has been very helpful. In my opinion this has been handled fantastically by very etc

Veryrep - assuming what you say is correct you may want to get an email circulated to all customer service staff. My husband has just received an email stating

"Thank you for contacting us about the Hot Air Balloon Experience.

The additional gesture of goodwill for £50 will only be credited to your account if you place the order at the discounted rate.

If you do not wish to place the order at the discounted rate, no gesture will be applied to your account.

Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Thank you for your co-operation."

This does contradict what we have both been told over the phone, and what you are saying here.

Hi,

@scotsgirl

This is not the case. Everyone effected by this pricing error will receive the £50 credit regardless if they place the order for the Virgin Experience Day or not.

I'm not sure who sent this email to you but it is incorrect.

Could you forward the original email or a screenshot of it to socialmedia@shopdirect.com along with your account number/details so we can root out the source and find out who it was sent by.

Once again, please rest assured everyone affected will recieve this £50 regardless of whether they choose to order the experience days or not.

Many Thanks

thanks Chris!

glad to hear that gift cards are being sent out today....and with 24 months to use them, that's even better news.

personally, i was expecting a refund and an apology (with some companies you don't get an apology!). the gift card is a very nice added bonus....i would have been happy with £10, but £50?!? for entering a few details and hitting the 'confirm' button??!? :D

I missed this completely, but have to say that I'm very impressed with Very on this - the £50 credit is very generous and their efforts in helping out by posting here commendable.

Excellent customer service when you consider the mares I'm having with two large and well-known companies at present who have neither refunded for products they never delivered, nor bothered to respond to emails.

Well done Very :T

I wondered what everyone was planning to buy with their free £50.

I do not usually order from Very, so would love to grab a bargain.

• The ££ is not in my account yet but I have had a phone call. I agree with the others - big praise to Very for sorting this out.

I am looking at new curtains. Too much choice really. I'll probably end up spending a lot more than £50...

I havent been called but it is very reassuring from the VERY representative so I am hopeful I will recieve something in the post...

I have been looking on the very webiste and there are all manner of lovely things so I am sure Ill end up spending a lot more than 50 quid as well! Have a rather full imaginary basket :D

( mainly homewares but some clothes as well :)
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
