works out well if you did want the gift with the 25% off and then the £50 credit it would only cost you £54.25 for the whole thing ..thats still good value... unless the credit cant be used with the 25% off???

Yes, I did think that was quite good and we do like to go to London for dinner and theater..usually need a Hoxton room though....a £1 one would put the icing on the cake

    d'oh!!

just had a look at my emails again. all of them say 25% OF the original price. so for example....balloon flight for 2 costs £349.00. 25% of that is £87.25. that's still a bargain for a balloon flight for 2. deduct £50 and it's only £1.25 more than the original glitch!

has anybody contacted very.co.uk to confirm whether it is 'of' or 'off'??

I haven't had an email yet.. I didn't open an account but I did get a confirmation email of the order. Lets hope for the gift card haha
  • Hi, I haven't had an e-mail either. I had to phone them to find out that my order for the balloon flight had been cancelled. Customer services don't seem too bothered either. Very disappointed as it was hubby birthday tomorrow and now I have no present, mine should have been delivered today.
Will probably complain to BBC Watchdog, not our fault if it was a misprice. :(

chances are you will get a £50 gift card. my last email arrived about 40 minutes ago, so you may still get one. :)

is there really a need to complain to watchdog?? misprices happen all the time. it's inevitable and human error can always occur. what has been disappointing though is the lack of contact from very.co.uk.

they're trying to resolve the issue by sending out £50 gift cards, i was quite shocked by this amount! i mean come on, give some credit here to Jill Johnson and Paul Bushell, they're working 'til 10pm on a Friday evening for a misprice that probably wasn't their fault!

Maybe they are emailing people in the order of when the orders were placed (IYKWIM)...I placed my order at 13.13 that day so was a bit later than some people.
Please God, help me stop spending!
