Hi,
There are many people on here receiving different messages and emails & would be be impossible to answer each one individually especially without customers account details. These terms and conditions do apply and are available to view on all of our webites.
I can advise that even if you have paid for this order we don't need to honour the price you have paid. If we do cancel the order after you have paid we do still have the right to refuse the order and obviously you will be fully refunded back.
As stated in my original post, each customer will be contacted individually in regards to their order.
Hope this helps
Chris

I am the official company representative of Very.co.uk. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. Well it clearly states in my account 'order accepted', payment has been deducted from my account, I shall be expecting reciept of my item!
Screenshots taken too, as I imagine the 'order accepted' shall probably be changed or vanish.0 -
One does wonder, as it has happened before whether this is a bait and switch technique being deployed by the company.
A technique outlawed in Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 and one of the specific unfair trading practices defined as being unfair in all circumstances, with or without any T&Cs they may wish to attempt to use as a way of wiggling out of honouring an order, which in their email confirmation uses the word 'confirmation' as its header.
I would love to hear the company representatives comment on these observations?0 -
Can Very tell us when we can expect contact? Please God, help me stop spending!0

I suggest that any of us who received confirmation emails and subsequently have our orders cancelled complain to the company and, more importantly, contact the relevant authorities. Does anyone know if internet shopping comes under the 'Trading Standards'? If not, who could we all contact?
Assuming our orders are cancelled (I haven't heard anything yet but from what the Very rep posted this looks likely) can we make a stand together over this and would Martin be prepared to help if this company refuses to honour orders which have been confirmed, especially if money has already been taken from an account? I always understood that the invitation to treat is complete once the company accept money. Is there anyone with legal knowledge about this please?“A journey is best measured in friends, not in miles.”

lol very refusing to honour prices as usual.. decided to go with this one since it was the same price, seems that price errors happen a lot with very and tbh it has put me off buying from them ever because im sick of how they mess around with us. their terms clearly state prior to accepting and they have accepted. very you have the funds to be able to honour this order so stop being stupid for once in your life because you are going to lose many customers over things like this, it would probably be cheaper for you to just honour it so atleast you regain some customer trust rather than going back on your own terms. amateur company.. it makes me sad that companies smaller such as zooplus honour multiple orders and so do asos yet big household names refuse to. think the workers there need to get a grip and realise how much consumer trust the are losing with these constant "price errors" !!!Who would say I couldn't make you mine? You were mine since th' beginning of time. Who would say we were far apart? You ever reside in the core of my heart?

I think the legal position is; until the money has been taken the order is not confirmed. Once the money has been taken then there is a contract in place and they are not able to cancel orders.
I have received a confirmation email, and the transaction amount is pending on my credit card. No doubt the transaction will still be able to be retracted so they will be under no obligation to honour the purchase.
Maybe someone at MSE could clarify our actual rights if we have any?0 -

Where does it state this in your terms and conditions? Also, my order has been accepted, this means you should honour me the product at the price that was stated. What kind of service is this from very that changes its mind on prices whenever it feels like?0 -
