  • What a shame! Very is one of the companies which I see so often on MSE as refusing to honour codes and prices, and that stops me dealing with them normally. But on this occasion I thought I would give it ago. My order has also been "accepted" (not showing as despatched) and therefore I do not see that the Term quoted above applies. Once the order is accepted it should be honoured. That said, not a lot that can be done about it IMHO. Very shoddy from Very. Again!

I wonder if they would have spotted this if the very rep wasn't a member

My order says accepted as well. Surely they can't go back on this legally, as the terms clearly state prior to acceptance.

    Hi guys,

As many of you will be aware these Virgin Experience days have been mis-priced on our websites and we are aware of this issue. They have now been taken off our sites to avoid further confusion regarding the prices. They will be reloaded with the correct prices soon.

We have been advised any orders placed today will not be honoured and may be cancelled. Each customer who has ordered these vouchers will be notified individually in due course.

Everyone who has ordered these vouchers will have the chance to buy them but for the true cost of each item.

I do need to point out our terms and conditions regarding mis-priced items on the website:

3.2 Whilst it is our intention to keep our website up to date and error free, product description or pricing errors may occur. If we discover such an error after you have submitted an order to us, we will contact you prior to accepting your order with the correct details. You may then either cancel your order or re-confirm it based on the correct information. If we are unable to contact you, we will treat your order as cancelled.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused and as stated each customer will be notifed by us soon.

    Regards

    Chris

    Dear Chris

Firstly I am NOT a 'guy' and I consider it an insult to be referred to as such, particularly when I am being addressed as a customer by a company official. However, this is perhaps indicative of the casual, incompetent and unprofessional way your company appears to be operating (including a spelling mistake in your final sentence).

Secondly, I wonder if your company would have been so quick to respond to an overprice. Have there been any incidences of your company refunding any money overpaid?

Finally, and most importantly, as I have received an email with the subject heading "order confirmation", am I correct in assuming my order will be honoured as, by sending this email, you have clearly accepted my order (as stated in the T&Cs you quote above)?

    Yours sincerely
    Nenen

    ban the very rep!:wink::wave:

I was always on the understanding though that online orders are fulfilled once payment has been taken shirley?
  • I have an accepted order. If I went into a shop and bought something at a price which they had wrongly put then they wouldnn't be able to come chasing me to go back on the transaction?
