Hi Az, just a quick answer: You do it daily yourself. Martin mighn't be too badly off, but I doubt he'd have the sort of web site that was THAT good to do Title bars automatically. Still, we could ask!
Sue xThanks Sue..knew I'd be the 'thick one' to ask..feel a bit silly now..:rotfl:

Right early night for me tonight. Just had a nice shower, I am feeling relaxed, gonna read some of my book then sleep.
Night all...Day 3 tomorrow !!0 -
Good night MattThis time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
Fingers crossed x0 -
Hi All
Missed reading everyone's post yesterday as computer crashed and drove me mad!! Managed to cope and not give in to the cigarettesI did my deep breathing and stayed calm. I also thought of all the things that are going on in the world that are much worse than giving up the cigarettes, people cope with a lot worse so I can cope another day without smoking, even if my laptop was about to have it's first flying lesson straight out the window, anyway DS fixed the problem and I'm back.
OK, day before yesterday I had a fairly good day no cravings got on with everyday life, then in the evening BAM!! I changed from 'happy' to wanting to slap anyone, felt angry, annoyed, agitated and wanting to just sit there and cry. I just wasn't myself and I knew I was about to lose it and yes, I could have gone out and bought some cigarettes. I came on here and spoke to Ross through PM. I told him how I was feeling, because if I had not I would have screwed up and the past few days would have been written off and I would be on day 1 again! Not only that I think I would have lost my mind the way I was feeling. I can not thank Ross enough, what a man, what a friend, what a person. :T
I read everyone's post because there is always help and knowing we are all going through the same thing or have gone through it, helps me keep on track. So I thank you all.
I went back to work today and had no problems, no cravings. I also found out another work mate is giving up and is on day 4 and about to kill someoneI recommended this site to him, hopefully he will take a look.
Talking of work, as I was going through the children's book bags (as we do) I could smell smoke~yuk~ and, sadly I could smell it on the children's clothes and their hair. It made me feel guilty.
I also went to the cash machine and could smell smoke from the person that used it before me, madness..
Anyway just to let you know I'm doing well and well done to all you quitters
AZ xx
Sorry it was a bad day. Mind you, if my computer had crashed I would have probably reacted the same, with or without cigs
It's great that Ross came through for you. What a lovely bunch of people you all are.
You mentioned smelling the smoke. I walked round the house today trying to locate a burning smell - quite convinced that the house was about to go up in flames. It was only when I opened the front door that I realised I could smell the smoke from a coal fire about two streets away! :rotfl::rotfl:
I hope that level of sensitivity goes down a bit before too long.
I've only had a couple of 'pangs' today. One did knock me a bit for six but I came through. I'm treating the Nasty Nic like a toddler in a supermarket. He screams and whines to get me to give in. I say "No" and ignore him. I get stronger. He gets weaker. He'll learn
Well done, everyone, on another day nearer freedom :T:TBut how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?0 -
Az..don't you dare feel silly, you don't understand how Forums work, so you're bound to need to ask questions you don't know the answers to. The silliest question though is the one that isn't asked!
You're fine, Az, no worries at all. Here's what I've just been writing to you:
Hi there Az, so good to see Ross was there for you the other night when you needed a friend. At any time you need to have a cry - please, please give in to the tears, they're nature's way of helping us all to cope - hold them in and you do so at your peril. You also said you felt you could have slapped someone, next time go and get a pillow, push your face into it and scream as hard as you can, then do it again and again until you feel yourself released from it the feelings. I hope you're managing to get a little weight on or will do soon, but don't forget the milk, protein drinks etc we spoke of the other night. Don't forget you can always knock on my door, so to speak. Keep up with quitting Az you can do it!!!!
All the plans laid out for a good night's sleep then Mat, I think you're a very wise lad indeed.! I hope the throat's a little better in the morning, but if not try some throat lozenges, pastilles etc. Very well done indeed though, you've had a great day and good to see you helping so quickly. Keep going to the gym, but don't go to hard at things, your chest will soon start to feel much, much better when it's freed from all the rubbish that's in there. Don't worry too much about your weight though, post Christmas is never the best time to take too much notice, try again in a fortnight..better still a month.
Night Mat, sleep well.
Getting more done to the others now, but a bit later on tonight due to our Son and his Wife coming for a couple of hours.

You've done just terrifically, Caz, it's amazing how we all turn to housework....or blitzing...to battle it all out on, it really is a marvellous way to act though, not only do we cleanse ourselves, but the entire house as well - a really great way to wish to feel clean on the inside, outside and the entirety of our lives - cars too mind!
You're really loving those Ice Poles/Pops too, and really being helped as a result with the water they contain - and who could ask for a cheaper form of long-lasting fag-buster! Not something else you need to wean yourself off of them either. Stick with them and all your plans Caz, you're doing just great!!!
Very well handled, Penelope! A tough day, but realising why and then doing your very best to put it behind you and relax is exactly how anyone would be advised to deal with it. You'll possibly have a better day again tomorrow so let today go and look ahead, but not too far too quickly!Triciaxx wrote:I've only had a couple of 'pangs' today. A fantastic way to view it, Tricia, I love that!! A really great view on Nic. Keep viewing that and bearing it in mind..the more you read it/think about it the weaker he gets and the more he shrivels!!!!
I'm getting there folks.

Hi Sue
Thanks for reply. I got some protein drinks and am having a little extra to eat on top of normal days 'feeding'. I think my little toes have put on weightFeeling so much better than the other night, so glad I didn't 'screw up'
I've come too far to give in, I know it's only 5 days but it's still 5 days of 'clean living'
I will remember the 'pillow screaming' for next time, if there is a next time.

Hi Tricia,
I love this idea. I'm going to keep this in mind..What a brilliant thought :T

I just fell asleep at my desk at work, woke myself up with a big snore hahaha I don't usually snore but it must have been how I fell asleep in my chair. My colleague looked at me funny.
Ooops
Hi everyone,
Mat, that made me laugh, I so nearly do that sometimes as well. We had a guy who as soon as he entered a meeting and sat down he was asleep, ummm I'm not quite that bad :rotfl:
Well have had a few cravings this evening but getting through them. Was trying to complete my on-line Tesco Banking registration and that would drive you mad as it is so sensitive with passwords etc. I prob won't remember what the were for next month ha ha.
Anyway good night everyone and let hang in there together. This thread is excellent0 -

Every lady notices that as soon as they're into quitting and I know mine was so very quick to recover from it's 'getting on and drying out' look. Keep up with the water - it's good inwards and out.
Hi determined new ms, I'be been trying hard to get to you before you're off to bed, though don't know whether I'll achieve that in time. Just as well you didn't go for a run with having a cold, I didn't realise that or wasn't thinking, but far better to conserve the strength than sap it. I was also pleased you'd come home early and got yourself some sleep. Your OH has to be adoring to go through all that quitting throws at us, but he obviously went over the mark as he sounds a total angel to have dealt lovingly and caringly with you during a bad time. :A It's so clear he really knows you want this for yourself and is prepared to do all it takes to get you there...keep up with him DNMS, you'll both get you to where you want and need to be. Cherish him just as he does you, he sounds remarkably like my darling hubby, he was with me every step of the way whilst quitting and has been thrilled at my success - you get that for yourself you deserve it! x
Another good day to chalk up debie, very well, done indeed! Stay strong and be happy as well as sooo proud.
Az - only 5 days is absolutely amazing, but when it's 5 days of 'clean healthy living' it's a real success to be so proud of! Keep hard at it, and get a mental picture of everyone here doing just as you are and keeping free from all the bad things of smoking! Good to see you over at SPC 4!!! See, you're becoming Forum savvy! You soon pick it up and ask if ever you don't - we all needed help too!
Keep strong everyone, keep yourselves reminded of just why you want to quit - and I hope - always putting your health at No 1! YOU CAN ALL DO THIS, so never, ever stop trying!
