Hello all. Just checking in! Today was a good day and I didn't have any bad craving to smoke. I even said no when asked (by someone who didn't know I'd stopped!) if I wanted to go out for a ciggy which I usually struggle with. I am a gossipy social smoker at work. It was raining outside and I just thought "where's the pleasure in that?!!!". Thanks sue for the water tip as I haven't eaten any sweeties today either. Sipping through the day really seemed to help! I hope everyone is getting on well and am really inspired by your quit posts! Take care all and have a great evening! XTRYING VERY HARD TO START SAVING!

I just fell asleep at my desk at work, woke myself up with a big snore hahaha I don't usually snore but it must have been how I fell asleep in my chair. My colleague looked at me funny.
Ooops
he he he :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: hope your manager wasn't aroundHi All
Missed reading everyone's post yesterday as computer crashed and drove me mad!! Managed to cope and not give in to the cigarettesI did my deep breathing and stayed calm. I also thought of all the things that are going on in the world that are much worse than giving up the cigarettes, people cope with a lot worse so I can cope another day without smoking, even if my laptop was about to have it's first flying lesson straight out the window, anyway DS fixed the problem and I'm back.
OK, day before yesterday I had a fairly good day no cravings got on with everyday life, then in the evening BAM!! I changed from 'happy' to wanting to slap anyone, felt angry, annoyed, agitated and wanting to just sit there and cry. I just wasn't myself and I knew I was about to lose it and yes, I could have gone out and bought some cigarettes. I came on here and spoke to Ross through PM. I told him how I was feeling, because if I had not I would have screwed up and the past few days would have been written off and I would be on day 1 again! Not only that I think I would have lost my mind the way I was feeling. I can not thank Ross enough, what a man, what a friend, what a person. :T
I read everyone's post because there is always help and knowing we are all going through the same thing or have gone through it, helps me keep on track. So I thank you all.
I went back to work today and had no problems, no cravings. I also found out another work mate is giving up and is on day 4 and about to kill someoneI recommended this site to him, hopefully he will take a look.
Talking of work, as I was going through the children's book bags (as we do) I could smell smoke~yuk~ and, sadly I could smell it on the children's clothes and their hair. It made me feel guilty.
I also went to the cash machine and could smell smoke from the person that used it before me, madness..
Anyway just to let you know I'm doing well and well done to all you quitters
AZ xx
aw sorry to hear you had such a rough day the day before yest Az but lovely to hear Ross helped you through it :A. I have found reading the old thread very inspiring and keeps me on track. Just hearing how others have kicked it, or when they've gone back how hard it is has helped me not want to loose my determination.
unfortunately I didn't go for a run or to my friends today as my cold got the better of me and I had to come home to bed at 3however as I was sleeping (and also feeling rotten when awake) I haven't had any cravings. Going to spend some QT to oh who is the most wonderful man (I'd even wager he's more lovely than Ross
) and despite the fact that I behaved really apallingly this morning - emotional time for me...- he has been truely lovely and looked after me all evening :A

Evening all, still a non-smoker here. But I'm really grumpy today, had a couple difficult meetings to deal with and was very concious that the old me would of spent the rest of the day outside puffing.
Still a lovely hot bath and some nice smellies have worked a treat. Can't believe it didn't used to bother me going to bed stinking of fags. I would be horrified now.
Keep going everyone, we can do it xThis time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
Fingers crossed x0 -

I can't wait to put on weight so I can go out for a jog.. If I started jogging now I would have to avoid all drains for fear of slipping down one, I'll never be seen again :rotfl:

Hi Az, just a quick answer: You do it daily yourself. Martin mighn't be too badly off, but I doubt he'd have the sort of web site that was THAT good to do Title bars automatically. Still, we could ask!
