I'm really glad to be putting another smoke free day behind me - 5th day tomorrow & although it doesn't sound long, I used to smoke (and I'm ashamed to even write this)
25g of tobacco a DAY  so not smoking for this long really is an achievement to myself.
Hope you all are having a great evening
don't be embarrassed - I used to bug a quater oz and by the end of the following day it was gone. Have youy downloaded the silkquit thingymijigy? its really fab, very uplifting & motivating! Hello
Yeah I found the link for the SilkQuit meter, I look forward to waking up in the morning and seeing that another day has been added to the count
How long have you not smoked for?Smoke free since 19/01/110 -
Evening all! WOWOWOW Lots of newbies! Welcome one and all! And hello to regular posters
I have just read back from my previous posting and everyone is doing pretty blummin well!
Im very very hormonal and up and down like I dont know what! Happy, excited, scared, tired and ANGRY all within seconds of each other lol. Dont think thats the fags though - think thats the baby issues!
Im doing OK. Have about 2-3 bad cravings per day, each time I ask hubby to go to shop, he says no - I moan and pout - then is usually gone! When Im angry or upset it lasts lots longer, but still goes each time.
Keep up the good work

Evening all,
It's very uplifting reading through some of these posts. Sue, thank you for the email with hints and tips.
I have had two major 'wobbles' Friday and Saturday. Friday went for a few drinks after work. We almost always sit outside due to my habit, but this time we sat inside. The first pint was the most difficult as I kept on staring at the cigarette machine! But once I got my head around that, the next few were fine. Saturday was fine until 9pm and I cracked open a Peroni. Could easily of drove the shops for a pack of 10, but drank 2 bottles quickly so I was over the limit and stuck a small patch on. Today was fine. My problem is that I still don't see myself as a non-smoker, it just feels like i'm taking a break from smoking, i'm sure the feeling is psychological, but wish the mindset would change! Can't believe it's almost a week. Good luck to all.0 -
Hi & thanks to everyone for the support & encouragement.
This has not been any easy day - very irritable ( ready to kick the cat for looking at me!)
Problem is I associate having a coffee with smoking. What can I substitute for the weed as I am not giving up coffee!0 -

Oooh its a hard one, but what about something silly such as changing the room you drink your coffee in? Getting a puzzle book on the go? chewing a pen? crunching ice....? erm....
