    Day 7 Champix

    Hi everyone

Still feeling lousy, I am so glad I'm not smoking as I'm sure I would be feeling 10 times worse. I am still taking it 1 day at a time, haven't missed the going outside to smoke, the smell and luckily the cravings are not hitting me, this could be due to thechampix though.

Well done to everyone who is suceeding. Thanks to everyone on this thread for keeping me going, it has definately kept me off the cigs.

Take care and enjoy your evening

Az I literally nearly wet myself laughing at your post, throwing the cigaretttes at his head then running off, why cant i have dreams like that PMSL

Anyhoo how are we all today? weather has beena bit poo hasnt it!

Ross, the sad thing is that's the type of thing I would do..throw something at someone who was trying to make me do what I don't want to do..

and now sit here thinking, why did i do it in the first place lol.

How true those words are, Ross

  • hey everyone  lovely to see everyone's really upbeat in here today :T and... my day was really good, no further bad news so :D:j:T have been on my bike today riding from one scheme to another and just got back from the gym with oh, feels sooooooo good to be able to really breath deeply again (unfortunately I haven't been coughing up anything, and never have had a smokers cough - does that mean its worse for me?)

salski so lovely to hear that you are coping so fantastically :T:T I'm so pleased for you and your baby, how did it go without the patch?

Hi Kate & Anna so lovely to have some more new quiters on board - the more the merrier eh?? ;) Anna I totally get the whole being scared (don't we all??) but honestly once you take the plunge there isn't anything to be scared of in fact quite the opposite. It really is just nasty nic tightening the noose when he is scared of losing you

ok going to go and do a couple of surveys and then watch a film with oh, love & smoke free wishes to you all x

  • thanks so much for your messages reading all the messages from you guys has really kept me going....

Tricia - feeling better now thanks hun.....had a good old read on here which helped me a lot - but have been busy this evening having my hair cut and cant believe how much i haven't thought of smoking at all. So thats spurred me on.
Have also put the nhs smoking app on my phone which is telling me how much I have saved since quitting. So all in all feeling a lot more positive tonight and actually feeling like I can maybe do this!

Sue - thanks to you also for your pm - I will be reading that a lot I think.....

Drinking the water has helped loads this afternoon - and tooks some grapes to work today to munch on when I needed - actually I dont usually do the fruit thing so this is also an improvement with the old diet as well! :)

Have developed a sore throat this evening - so not sure if that is a side effect - but just trying to take each day at a time and not thinking too far ahead.

Thanks again all for all your help....much needed and very much appreciated

    xx
  • Hiya,

Am glad I have found this thread, it has been nice to read so many success stories.

I decided to start a few days into the new year as I'm rubbish with new years resoloutions, lol.

Yesterday was my first day and to be honest I didn't find it to bad but today has been alot harder. Oh and last night I dreamt about smoking for the first time in my life. I am using a lower dose of the patches so that I can use the inhaler as well. Today the inhaler has been like a lifeline, it really helps being able to feel like I am inhaling something as I really miss that part.

Congratulations to you all for doing so well :T
