Sorry njk1012, but we're not able to help you with E-cigs, you need more help than anyone on this thread is able to give.
If you go to the following link https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/1243625 it'll take you to the E-cig thread on MSE where you'll get a good deal of help and other recommendations of sites to help you.
All the very best with quitting as soon as possible.

Good luck quitting, many people have managed to stop smoking with the aid of an e-cig when all other methods have failed0 -
Week 3
Sorry Sue, been one of those weeks, been rushed off my feet, free day today didn't happen, electricians turned up a day early, so i sat outside most of the day to get away from them. Now something's cropped up with mother, so my free day tomorrow will be spent there. Will catch up with you all next week. Don't have much time to scratch my 4rs3 atm, so meaningless posts all round on here, scan reading most of it :rotfl:4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
Not to worry, Maz, you're free from nicotine and that's the most important thing...even if I don't know how long for!!!
Keep busy Maz, you're doing yourself a real favour! :T:T
Though I'd be grateful if everyone popped the amount of time they've been free from on the Title line of their posts, the mean used too. Like mine above. Hi there :-)
well done to everyone who has stayed smoke free! We are all doing great!
10 days in and I still think about the cigs a lot!! I'm finding the best way to beat my cravings is to clean for 15 min each time. My house has never been so clean as it has the past 10 days lol.
so when did you guys stop thinking about the cigs? I can't see me ever not thinking about them :-(0 -
Hi there :-)

Hi I've been smoke free since 1st Jan! I used to think that but then after a few weeks I would just suddenly realise that I hadn't thought about a cig for a few hours and gradually it was just longer and longer - now most days I will go to bed and think 'Oh I don't think I've even thought about cigarettes today!'' Its so good when you get to that stage and you will get there!!!0 -

...and it really is just as Maria explains, Fluffy. It was exactly that way for me.
One day you too will get those feelings, meanwhile...keeping busy is about the best thing to do to take your mind away from them; focusing on the cleaning you're going to do next..where you going to walk to..what groceries you need..the next time you had a holiday or the last time you went etc; keeping the mind as active as the body.
Congratulations on 10+ days free, you're really doing so very well!!!! :T Focus on that too, how proud you are also - and you certainly should be! :grinheart

Many thanks Maria for bothering to come and explain to Fluffy and congratulations on having NOT smoked for so long now!!! :T

A gentle reminder folks, I'd be grateful if everyone popped the amount of time they've been free from on the Title line of their posts, the means used too. EG; mine above. It helps everyone know we're you all are on your journeys, which helps so much with the advice given. Thanks folks.

oh I'm sorry I thought it was a thread for quitting the ciggy's I didn't realize nicotine replacement was so frowned on.Grocery Challenge Sept 2021 £95.40/£500

njk1012, I did not tell you in my 1st post to you that nicotine replacement was frowned upon here!
Basic nicotine replacement is not frowned upon as we have knowledge about the common ones - but not about E-cigs which is far more complicated than most people think. It has not been thoroughly checked out yet either so no one knows exactly what is in the nicotine that people inhale!
There is a huge difference in having knowledge about things and not, because of this it's far better to keep the 2 threads as they are - separate.
If you do wish to use any other form of NRT then you're welcome to join us, if not you have the link to use. Whatever for you choose, I wish you the success to quit as soon as is possible.

There are lots of people who read this thread, who can answer any question you have about e-cigs, don't worry about that. But it is better to keep any technical questions to the proper e-cig thread or find an e-cig forum (pm me if you want a hand with this) as it just bores/winds up people on here and so it isn't really the right place for it.
But you can use this thread for general giving up smoking help and enthusiasm. If you feel you want to now....Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0
