I'm so glad I was able to help a bit. Once you move away from the e-cig you have, get onto to something better and sort out which e-juice you like, you are going to be blown away by how much better vaping is compared to smoking.
Brilliant stuff, keep it up!Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
well done trinity,
yes, the routine was harder than the withdrawal for me, but i am a creature of habit lol.
you will soon notice the financial difference and it is soo rewarding.. its been 25 days for me now, and ive worked out ive already saved £150+ i cant tell you how much good that makes both me and my bank manager feel
Stick with it and best of luck, dont give in!
I have an app on my phone which tells me how much money I've saved and each time I reach a £10 mark I'm transferring it straight to the wedding account. Nearly at my first £10!
I have to admit I'm not finding the breaking the habit quite as hard as last time I quit just over a year ago for 3 months as I used to smoke in the house but after I quit friends had to go outside for a smoke and if I was having a drink I used to pop out to have a drag or two and as I gradually started smoking more I stayed outside so it seems much easier to just cut that bit out of my life than when I smoke inside. Now it's just a matter of making a cuppa during the advert breaks when I used to go outside.0 -
Hello trinity_enigma and a very warm welcome to you. So, you're getting very close to being 3 days fag-free then! Very well done indeed!!! Stick to it as it will be so wonderful if you can go into married life having quit this awful habit for good. You're quite right to liken it to you almost literally setting fire to notes as it is!
You will soon get out of the habitual times that are affecting you at the moment, especially if you do something different at those times. After tea get straight up and start washing up or go for a walk, if you do the latter then build up to a brisker one as you get more and more used to it.
I've just seen your last post, please be very careful about drinking in the vulnerable early days or you could be right back to square one which would be really sad. Don't let friends lead you back either! Making a cuppa during the advert breaks is good, so is the app! If ever you're tempted then please think how hard it'll be to have to go through it all again!
All best wishes,
Sue x
Hi booboo and haven't you done fantastically!!!! :T :T A savings of £150 is marvellous, well done indeed. Well done indeed on that amazing weight loss!! I've often said that it is possible to run the 2 at once, especially if you up the exercise.
Stubbing your toe is wicked and I think most of us can relate to that; I had nail surgery last week and am still suffering so I can sympathise, believe me.
BTW, my utter disgust for the smell of tobacco is still with me after 13 years free, so get yourself prepared! Just sometimes I quite like the smell, but mostly I find it disgusting! Sadly, most of us experience the same disgust as you'll see if you go through the thread. Keep hoping that some day soon she may follow your example! Not to worry, booboo, the main thing is you're quitting so stay strong and all the best with the diet!

Hi prepareathome and I'm pleased that you're happy with your new way of getting nicotine, but as Lotus-eater knows all too well, I'm not happy or knowledgeable enough to be able to comment on vaping. All I will say is beware you don't swap one for another!!! The thread for his type of thing is
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/....php?t=1243625 though he's possibly given you the other web sites for them.
I wish you the very, very best to get free from everything to do with nicotine which I'd thought you were doing. If you wish to, you could always go through Erme's posts on this thread to be sure of what you're getting yourself into. She has been vaping for months and months!!!
I wish you well and that you'll get to Australia to see your Son's Wedding.

But as vaping is supposed to be 99% better for you than smoking, I think we can both agree, that it is better to be vaping rather than smoking. So don't swap one for the other, is maybe not the best attitude IMO.
They can help you stop smoking, not stop nicotine. Although many people reduce their nicotine levels in the e-juice once smoking is out of the way.
I know you're very negative about vaping, which is your prerogative, but the fact is that it does stop people smoking, which is what we all want.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -

All you're doing LE is hanging around this thread and pouncing on any vulnerable people who haven't had the chance to go into it all really fully. I don't believe enough is known about vaping and with all the problems Erme has had with hers I would truly be frightened of it. You first paragraph says a lot really doesn't it?!!!
If people were flooding to your thread and the other forums then you wouldn't be here trying to poach people and sway their thoughts. Anyone who googles quitting smoking knows your option and does not want it suggested at every given chance you get on this thread.
This is an agree to disagree topic so lets do that and you stick to your thread.

Unless you are a moderator, I don't think you can ban me from posting anywhere.
I have to say this though, none of what you have written is true about me. I want to help people. I have been very fair about what I have written on this thread.
edit
Actually you've made me feel pretty bad, all I've done is try to give anyone who wants to know, information. I haven't pm'd anyone, I have offered anyone who wants any more information, can pm me.
I've not been aggressive or argumentative. I've offered my own knowledge, that's all.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
Hi all, better news my son doesnt need an op....so happy!! Will ring the hospital tomorrow re my op to see if it will still go ahead with this cold although tbh its not a BAD cold so fingers crossed.....I dont want to have the op but I want this tumour out desparately.

Day 10 - Patches and Inhalator
Hey all, well what a difference a day makes. I was really struggling yesterday, but I feel so much better today. Have only used inhalator twice all day. I have been really busy so that prob helped, but I popped round my neighbours for a coffee late this afternoon and she smokes and when she went out for one I didn't even feel like I wanted one!!! That felt like a real milestone. I know that I will prob still have bad days like yesterday, but I know I can do this. Oh and according to my quit meter I've now saved £42.59!!! Wow, that's a big enough incentive in itself!

Hi all
1week now yay :j the only downside for me at the moment is socialising has become a bit boring:o the company is good just they can all sit there smoking doing something and I haven't got anything to do really lol. Still no desire to smoke and not wanting one when in company of other smokers either. To be honest I can't believe how easy I am finding it and how much more relaxed I feel.
Not really much support here at home but thats ok as I have you lotWell done to all keep going:)
