Right we have a macrisis (as in Macbook crisis) and I'm hoping to get a refund on the external hard drive from ebay (though no word yet) and get one from who knows where out in the country in the sticks (late or early Monday am - this could be interesting!!!)

and below is my am snooze

And now have lost my camera :(....can find the bag - just no camera.....Sure I had it after the party last weekend...Just no idea where it is...

But the good news is I found a leather arm chair down stairs in the lobby (waiting to go in the rubbish) so that's my new arm chair (had been wanting a sofa but beggars can't be choosers and like it'll give me more space)..

Independant feisty girlie to the rescue..One two seater sofa yanked to the bottom and squeezed in the lift ably aided by the nice bin men who took it off my hands when I got to the bottom :T...

    Yay...God is good

So now having a mad blitz and I might well rearrange the lounge (that means book cases LOL) by the time I've finished

  • Well 4 days no cigs...feeling quite chuffed...finding it on my mind more at work than at home, which is a bit weird. I think it's cos when i used to get bored at work i used to go for a cig to waste a bit of time..lol.
This weekend - faced with 2 x 12 hour shifts and being the only member of staff in so lots of time on my hands, i've been trying to keep occupied. I have the benefit of internet - so have been mooching n surfing and drinking lots of tea/water ( wasting plenty of time in the loo ;) )
Oh well on the whole it's ok - haven't really wanted a cig - just don't want to get so bored that i start thinking about it.
It's great to come on here and read other people's posts - leaves you back in a positive frame of mind.
Only 7 hours to go til hometime:D
    take care all

  • 7 days completed !

Pleased with myself - have only had one lozange today - and not first thing in the morning. The urge to smoke in the car has gone as has the urge when I am sat working. Have about 10 lozanges left so will buy some strong mints to replace them and wean myself off the nicotine completely in the next 7 days.

£21 in a jar (and it will buy some new boots in the January sales).

    V e r y ** m a n y ** c o n g r a t u l a ti o n s mmikailian :T:T:T and to jennyo! :T:T:T

You too of course, Choille (however long is it for you now?) :T

You've all been so strong and done brilliantly, I'm so proud of and for each of you. :grinheart

All of you coming back as you have is terrific inspiration to those who are battling on and doing so well, this will be such motivation for them.

Your hubby may well decide to give it a try some day, mmikailian, but at least for now it's important that he's smoking outside and it's not affecting you. Well done him. I truly hope you'll never go back, aside from that it's never worth risking your health. Imagine what your lungs liked like before..and what theyre like NOW!!! Also, your :heartsmil is between them and happy as larry now IT too is much healthier.

Thank you girls and never ever give in to evil thoughts, YOU know it's never worth it!

Hi Chrissie and fantastic news about the 4 days FREE!! It really is marvellous :T Take it a day at a time and do keep up the water, especially as cold as possible, that really will help.

Keep as active as possible, even if it's with a bunch of keys, a puzzle book, a Rubiks Cube absolutely anything to keep you focused. Rather than spending time in the loo, is it possible to run up/down a flight of stairs, go outside and breathe in fresh air? If you must spend time in the loo then do a few exercises - a few squats; or go up on your toes and stretch as high as you can, then go down slowly and up and so on; you'll strengthen your calf muscles and burn a few calories! Another things to help stop cravings is to carry a small tube of toothpaste and put a tiny bit in your mouth and swirl it around, the freshness helps.

If you have access to the internet then browse through this thread..and the previous TWO!!!! Take something in that you know will catch your eye or hands - a crossword. I've already mentioned that..see what you're doing to me...I'm all out of thoughts. :undecided How about crochet or knitting? A lot depends on whether it's having to concealed yourself in times of boredom (having to spend time in the loo) or whether it's ok for you to be viewed so it doesn't matter what you do. Get things for both/either times - also read the successful posts above!!! :D

All the best, Chrissie and just don't give in as this is a terrific journey. ;)

    Sue x

There you go, Erme, after all the times of struggling they were followed by good fortune and answers! :) How about making a few phone calls about your camera, contacting a few of the friends from the party? At least now you can sit back and relax and dream about what you'll do with that unspent fag money! ;)

    Sue xx

Marvellous news Lily and just fantastic to hear you're already a WEEK free from it all!!!!! :T A week is a huge benchmark and you've achieved it! You're doing amazingly with (or should that be without) the lozenges too! Keep focused and determined and go forward!!! What rewards to look ahead to with that cash!

    Sue x

Keep your feet on the road everyone, the road that will someday lead to your destination -for now, make it a wonderful journey - you can do it. Thinking of you ALL. :smileyhea

  • Thanks Sue...although i think we're at cross purposes - i'm only in the loo cos i'm drinking like a fish.:rotfl: I'm not hiding in there honest !
I can do what i like (within reason) whilst i'm here on my own - perk of being the boss ;). Think i will bring my sewing in tomorrow ( have a stage show to costume in January).i've not felt the urge to smoke as yet - just trying to head off getting myself into a situation where it slips into my thoughts...

But thanks for the suggestions - they are appreciated - it's nice to know that someone bothers to read my ramblings

Very well done, ex-homelessdude, all I'd advise is to beware they don't someday lead you back to the real thing.

Keep up the good work, anything's better than ingesting thousands of chemicals! :(
