    good evening

blimey cant believe how quick the nights are drawing in here up north , at least we've not had the snow.....O dear may speak too soon but seriuosly, enjoying the mild spell and my days off have been tackling the garden

great to see read your determination mazza and wish you well

am sure sue-uu wont mind me asking if folk could write in the title bar how long they have been quit for and what method they are using it helps when giving support to know what stage your at and maybe to those looking in will give encouragement to

i reckon the important thing if those like me have tripped up in the past is to never say never and climb back aboard

old nic is a whiley demon and lulls us to believe one wont hurt and before you know it , its back to old habits leaving us feeling why did we bother in the first place

but reading successes on here we KNOW it can be done and we are on the road to joining happy stats

    best of luck JD xx

    envy.....envy ....envy....;)

Oh what a beauty, davey!!!:grinheart I first thought you'd caved and I was so disappointed, but at least I'm breathing normally again now you've explained.

I wouldn't normally entice anyone to buy what they can't afford, but I'm a great advocate of "treat yourself, it's a great incentive". Plus you're doing so well with your quit and fellahs usually do much better than we gals so, all being well, you'll keep battling on - and succeed!!!

However, if there's any butt-kicking that needs doing I'll be the first in line...so beware and be good! It really is a beautiful bit of kit though and...yes..you do deserve it, so stay true to yourself and enjoy your ThinkPad, a great present! Good to see you! :)

Aww thanks so much, Maz. It's still very stiff, but then that's why I've so much physio to do so I can little by little loosen it up. I'm still working at the hand too, but reckon that'll take a very long time IF it ever comes back to normal. Thanks a lot, Maz. :)

I's ok Erme, twas I. ;) As soon as I saw that flame thrower of yours I just knew you'd need taking care of before it set light to MSE and the thread. Glad you're feeling better...see..it worked and He listened up as normal. ;)

Hi there JD! No, I wouldn't mind you saying about the time and metod used being put on folk's Title Bars, I tried a gentle hint this morning, but di it work? Did it heck as like! :( VERY well done JD, you're doing marvellously, keep hard at it as at least you have that really huge bench-mark out of the way!!!! :T At least you aren't having a puff or more either! :T ;)

Best wishes everyone and no excuses for a you know what!!!!

Hehehe I couldn't resist being a bit cheeky :p. TBH things are going OK and the cravings are not nearly as ba as they have been. I picked my final 3 weeks worth of patches today, and still have lots of micro-lozenges left over, so I'm very confident about things...especially as next on my list of 'must have' toys is a new phone in the New Year (then a bigger camera, then an iPod, then a...)

Good luck everyone, stay focussed on your own individual long term aims. Personally I'm loving having all this 'free' kit :)

Hiya everyone, I have been reading this thread for the last couple of weeks and thought it was about time i said hi :D

I am 31 and been smoking for 18 years  (yes i know, i am hanging my head in shame) Being told by the nurse that i have the lungs of a 61 year old and my 13 year old son with diabetes being caught 2 weeks ago having his first tab  was the slap in the face i needed.

Everything is going fantastic, I have been sick once on the tablets, but i know that i did not eat enough before i took it, so thats my own fault, (wont be doing that again haha) I have also been having dreams every night which i am enjoying because i hardly ever dream, i remember everything about them, my other half must think i am going loopy on a morning when i get up and start laughing to myself while having my cuppa.

I used to smoke between 15-20 a day, that was cut to 7 a day in my 1st week of tablets and 3 a day on 2nd and really did not enjoy them. My last one was saturday, and i am not missing them very much, I am enjoying learning a new routine, and how much more time i have for myself cant believe how much of my life i have wasted smoking.
Thanks for listening everyone and GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE XXX

  • Thanks ellionic

I used champix in a quit a few years ago and remember frequent bizarre dreams.

Not had so many this time apart from one where i was driving a racing car with the police giving chase lol.:rotfl:

Well done on starting your quit and thanks for the advice!
  • Sorry about this guys and I know it's just a general query but I'm completely new to the site and am finding it a bit confusing and difficult to find my way around. I posted a question yesterday on the Supermarket-only PDF money-off coupons thread (I was just asking what the usual process was should I find a new money-off coupon and want to post the details). This was my post:

This morning I logged in and my post was gone. I then posted a queery about this to ask if anyone knew what had happened and moments later that past post vanished too. As I've only just joined the 'moneysavingexpert' site I'm somewhat confused. Does anyone know how I can send a message to Andrea to ask her to look into it for me?
