hi guys. Sorry I'm AWOL atm, running around behind DD as she's not supposed to put her foot down at all. She's not managing with the crutches well, just doesn't have the physical strength to do it. Her cast was loose on Friday so had to take her back to hospital, A&E said take her to fracture clinic, fracture clinic said no, she's to go thru a&e cos she's not a fracture clinic patient until Monday!!! AAAAAAAARGH had to go thru all the A&E waiting yet again. Just getting ready for her first fracture clinic appointment. My excuse is the stress!!! I've been having a couple a day. Have 2 left for today then back onto patches, spray, ecig, whatever it takes to get back off them for good.
Congrats to all of those who are continuing the good fight. Sorry I haven't been around much but I'm really run off my feet trying to arrange showers n stuff for my DD. Honestly it's like having a baby in the house again. My shower is over the bath, she has a bath in her house, so it's going to my mother's every other day for a shower and a wash down in between! So shattered constantly!! But poor cow is now going to spend her 21st and xmas in plaster.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
okies had my appt at the stop smoking clinic - fortunately was a nurse i know quite well and haven't seen for ages so we had a good old gossip which made me feel slightly less apprehensive:D
She had to take my blood pressure 4 times to get it to give a reading that didn't mean i was about to drop dead on her - not a good sign thinks little old me!
Anyway after blowing into the little lung tester thingy & managing to get to stop eventually - was a bit like the Blackpool illuminations for a few minutes... i'd managed a reading of 39! - for god's sake i knew it'd be bad but hell that's way high - nurse said she'd not had one that bad for ages - but said and i quote "remember this moment, and how awful and wretched ( i was) you feel and know that you aren't ever gonna have to see that number again" - that made me smile:)
Much as i'm not really into popping pills i'm gonna give the champix a go - Sue(nurse) says she thinks it will help as i'm a heavy smoker (funny how when someone else says it it feels lke an insult? - even tho i know i do smoke far too much)
So tablets from tomorrow and i can and will do this - i'm not prepared to waste my life anymore
Love n hugs to all .xx0 -

the tester beeped like mad lights all flashing, think i got a 39 reading too, i thought id killed it for a minute!:D

Ok had my 2 today, back on track tomorrow!!!
Seems my daughter has worsened her fracture by walking slightly on it (upstairs and downstairs) So she's to rest it completely for the next 2 weeks. F***in Barstewards with fireworks!!! So I'm moving her back home completely for a couple of weeks, moving her and her cat into her brother's bedroom which is next door to the loo and take it from there. Going to have a nice relaxing day at home tomorrow hahahahaha, well that's the plan. Will just need to feed her and water her tomorrow. So coming off the cigs will be easy
See, I'm still positive about doing it, just a wee slip up in the middle. Not gonna quit trying to quit despite my wee slip up4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
Wonderful news smileytiger!Don't worry too much about the 39 reading, we've had quite a few like that here, just be delighted that you will now see it come down very quickly and everyone describes that as a fantastic time!
Al the very best on the Champix, it has had many successes here!
Oh dear rubyt, trust you to have had a puff on the way to the CN!!!!:( How many days are you now???
A great idea about having your lass home with you, Maz, she'll love the pampering too! Hope she soon gets better.

Feeling rotten...Only just got on here this am...am so tired
have a whopping sugar craving to boot so going to get my blood glucose checked at Lloyds later....Only snag is that I've had this craving for 2 days plus and now I have to wait a poxy 1.5 hours (3 hours in total since eating) to get it checked
Pants pants pants...
And I had two roll ups last night when exhausted at a friends....Glad I didn't go to Inverness last weekend...I'd have smoked like a trouper :money: God always has a plan in the downs and the disappointments.
Only bit of good news is that my new headphones turned up this am from p***.com so I can go jogging on Thursday - Yay :T

Not guilty! I don't do god, although if someone offers to say a little prayer for me or you, it can't do any harm. Hope you're feeling better soon hon.
Daveys - If you've succumbed, we can both try again together
Sueeeeeeee - How's the shoulder?
DD is successfully installed in her brother's bedroom along with her cat. Had a few hissing fits with my old cat not liking him but she's calmed down a wee bit now (at least she's not hunting him down)
And just noticed late for school run....4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
When I posted my teaser at work I didn't been that I'd succumbed to the weed, but to my terrible shopping habit.
When I first stopped, I promised myself that I'd put all the money that I'd otherwise spend on cigs to one side, and buy nice things that I want for ME.
A few weeks ago a bought myself a nice little camera, and I've been having loads of fun with it. Since then I've been saving for a new laptop. I've known what I've wanted, and I've been keeping my eyes on the prices. That was until yesterday when this arrived in the office:
The mail order maverick in me had been busy:
Yes it's a ThinkPad box
With a ThinkPad inside
Look it even runs Windows 7 Professional:
Although my inner-geek has put something more exciting on it already.
In reality I haven't actually saved enough to buy this just yet - but the price was a lot lower than I've seen it elsewhere (about £80 cheaper), and I couldn't resist it. If I was really good I'd put this away until I had saved the money (which would take me until 7th December, but I'm typing this on it now.
I am being good - I haven't smoked, and I'm on day 58, and now I'm pretty much signed up for the next 30 days...if I slip you have permission to inflict much harm and humiliation on me!!!0
