CO2 Levels were down at 3!!! 5 at last count, an enormous the time before that, went along to smoking cessation class, just because I was having a bad day and it would have been easier to go get some smokes. But made it through without one. Feeling much more positive now than I was earlier in the day :j:j:j4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0

O2bfree- Have u plenty of fruit around you? Found this is easier, especially having some frozen grapes around, just something to suck on.
Thank you your support means so muchPay as much as you can in 2011- £3688.54/£6000Pay as much as you can in 2012 - £3190.96/£6000LBM - August 2010 - £19202.30Current - August 2012 - £11803.68Paid so far - £7398.620 -
Of course we don't mind you sticking round o2bfree, far better to than not.
To be craving as you are sounds as though the Champix aren't doing too much good for you as it's usually completely the opposite for users. Have a word with your GP and see hat he/she thinks.
Any different today? Do try to snack on healthier things and try sipping water as soon as you start to crave. Going off out for a walk or beating merry he*l out of a pillow will help.Give way to any tearful times, you'l feel so much better after letting the tears go. Keep in mind that......you're never alone!!
Hugs, Sue xx
Thank you.
I think because it was day 15 of the Champix and it is definitely no smoking from day 15 I felt the need more.
Usually I don't crave. But I am eating loads of junk!

hi everyone
Thanks to you Sue for the pm with all the tips, advice and support :T
Well done to everyone who has gone another day without smoking :T
I have now reached the 7 day mark and £40 in my pot. Had the morning from hell at work yesterday and a couple of times I really thought about nipping out and buying some fags....but I didn't so I imagined those little people dancing on my desk again, just like the advert
Because I lost 2 stone last year I am being very careful not to snack, but I still have seemed to put on 2lb, am hoping this is a blip, as when I gave up I went to counting points in my food again and I have been really honest with myself, (no point in cheating, its only cheating yourself) and went back down to the points that you start with on w/w and I still put the 2lb on  am thinking its cos me body is saying !!!!!! what the hell is going on! after 40 years it is probably confused with the no smoking :rotfl:
I have done more crochet this week than I have for years, but its keeping my hands busy. Am still feeling a bit like something is missing in my life, but not enough to light up! dunno how I will feel when I start to reduce the patches etc, not going to think about it now, one day at a time.
This is the longest I have every gone, my previous record was 3 days
Big hugs to all my fellow quitters and slap on back and well done for going another day
speak soon xxxwhoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine
Stopped smoking 20:30 28/09/110 -
10 days now.
Bought some tictacs for those moments.
Better than a whole boiled sweet but only needed once or twice a day so the tictacs will last. (haven't had one yet tho)
4 more days and it'll be a true holiday although it feels more like a sentence at times."Unhappiness is not knowing what we want, and killing ourselves to get it."Post Count: 4,111 Thanked 3,111 Times in 1,111 Posts (Actual figures as they once were))Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.0 -
Feeling unwell today! Was awake at 4am with stomach cramps and feeling sick. Not sure if it's a bug or champix - I've heard that champix can cause these problems. I did have a weak G & T last night - maybe after 2 weeks off the booze my system is telling me that it doesn't want booze! Who knows????
Anyway almost at 2 weeks smoke free!!!:j0 -
Part Mouse, don't worry about the stinking cold as it very often happens after we stop smoking; no wonder either given all the smoke we've inhaled/blown over the years, never mind what we've expected of our sinuses too!:( The cold's a very small price to pay when you think of what you'd love to have happen after you finish!!!! :A Always think of the rewards in the future......so very worth the struggle now!

Hiya JD  and it truly is fantastic to see you back again!!!!!:j:j:j I wondered if you might have succumbed, but remained hopeful that you might just burst through the door proclaiming of your X amount of months free. Never mind, JD you've done so very well in the past and there's no reason why you can't do it all again - and more! Just remember to keep taking the steps for the completion of your journey - you'll be so chuffed you did. Well done on the Ice Poles/Pops!!!! Get sucking and keep doing so!
ALL the very best JD, if anyone knows it's possible, it's you!
Sue xx
Marvellous news caracara!!! :T:T What some savings too which will have a great roll-on effect with being with a cheaper company and......more savings!!! :j Stay focused and strong ALL the time. BTW I love the last para...so darn true too! You're doing yourself soooooo proud!!!!
Sue xx
VERY well done, Maz!!! :T:T Just think when you're able to say tata to the sprays you'll be down to a big fat 0.!!!
Sue xx
I'm with you, o2bfree, all the best from here on then! Be careful with the junk though as you'll regret it later, so water, fruit and exercise here on then........right?!
Sue xxDazi wrote:I imagined those little people dancing on my desk again, just like the advert
Excellent Dazi, keep on doing so...I'll bet you're not the only one who's encouraged by them either!!! Please don't worry too much about the weight you may gain, increase your exercise and you'll soon get it back to where you'd prefer it. Just remember you need to a bit more so after 'a certain age'!!
The feeling like 'something is missing' gets a little less often and less powerful with each new day, so battle on! Brilliant work with the crochet, it's SO much easier to cope when you've things to focus on, keep at it - and be so proud of youself!!! :T
BTW.....Dazi could you kindly pop amount of days free and method used (6/7/8 Days Cold Turkey) on the Title bar, please? Thanks, it's such a help.
Sue xx
The best type of sentence I could ever envisage, rizla! Great thinking with the tictacs, far less fattening. Keep strong as you're doing marvellously given that you're doing it via CT!!!! :T:T
Sue xx
oooh Lucy! That sounded awful, I do so hope it's much better for you by now. Could it be the G & T with the Champix maybe?? Have a word with your Dr/Pharmacist and find out his/her thoughts before you go further. All the very best!!
Hugs, Sue xxx
Keep it up folks. Some of you may, at times, find it a bit of a struggle, take heart and look ahead to the following day as it's almost always a far better one.
This is the journey of a lifetime with an amazing final!!

just getting ready for night shift no nippping out in the cold night air for quick puffs for me tonight Yaayinstead i have packed some foxes mints
smoking is habit and routine led i'll do such and such then have a smoke or vice versa its breaking that cycle and association , night shift is pretty much routine led as were the "fag" breaks " so my foxes will interupt that cycle also have me tooth brush to brush away if i get twitchy
