Okay guys...
Wee lesson in how my brain works - any use of the word conspiracy (either I have to save the world from it; windows is part of it; you're part of it; jesuit/papist/roman catholic phobias) and I'm ill....so please ignore or be sympathetic. If I have a go at you in the whole nonsense then tell me to take a wee break from MSE (might ignore that but it's what I need) and go and see my medics or take a pill... It's all paranoia symptoms...
Does that make sense
Sitting here with Mandarin and like lavender oil on the burner and it smells fab
What else can you do with smokes monies but spoil your nose?
Alas I had a really bad day yesterday. Needed prn (as required meds) and like lost it...
So Dr. P (the boss) got me an appt with my consultant Dr. C......Yay..the alastair campbell lookalike LOL (that really winds him up)...Alas I don't think I helped the appt when when faced with a female medical student and he pops out I tell her all about the politics of home bakes and the hospital rofl... (works better than complaining)..He said his usual one liners 'E you're mind is playing tricks on you' and 'you're unwell right now' but at least he didn't realise (cos he was just back from hols) I'm 8 days late with depot shot (anti psychotic) meds. Yay
And saw the chain smoking PR who is supposed to be on the e-cig and he said 'I have a titan and I love cherry flavour from TW' and I'm like YOU HAVE A TITAN  - those batteries need to be changed every 2 secs...Pointless mentioning it to Dr. P (the overall boss). He just says he's his own man (a man - genetic disorder) and fence sits..
Best one liner (mis quote) from the hour. Fence sitter (a manager and a smoker) when I invited him over to try out all my perfumes said 'I'd rather be a smelly man' - bad mental image....LOL
So yeah this is Erme - 20 days on e-cig and patiently waiting her chanel no.5

Its day 10 on Champix and today my quit begins I look forward to the challenge! My motivation is, I have recently been diagnosed with diabetes 2 and my Doctor explained to me one of the dangers is amputation of maybe my toes, or a foot, or even a leg, if not treated properly and if I continued to smoke that could exacerbate the situation! The loss of a limb could well happen, well that is enough for me when I leave this planet I want to leave complete I DONT WANT TO LOSE MY LEG.Low Carb High Fat is the way forward I lost 80 lbs
Since first using Martins I have saved thousands0 -
I just wanted to say "Good Luck" to viv0147.
I gave up smoking in January this year using Champix and it worked a treat!
You obviously have to use some willpower as well but I had tried to give up in the past using other methods and failed.
Believe me, giving up smoking is the BEST thing I ever did!
Best of luck to you.0 -

That's FANTASTIC news, Stupotstu, very many congratulations to you!!!! :T:T:T:T:T You're a terrific inspiration to ALL!!!! Thanks so much for letting us know your GREAT news!!
I think I'm catching up with you and understanding you, dear Erme - and I don't believe there's anyone here who would advise you to take a hike from MSE, we're your friends.:grouphug:<-- not THAT sort but you know what I mean.
Lavender will be a very relaxing one for you, try to stick with it, it has greater relaxing powers than most of us may believe.
Onward indeed Val and head for your goal and if you can succeeed......you'll never achieve a greater one! :j
Brilliant news, Voyager!!!! :T:T I'm sooooo thrilled you're doing so very well and it's wonderful to have you back helping others achieve their dreams....to let them know it IS achievable for them too!!! Any word of DH?
Don't worry Rizla, with the sleeping/dreaming problems.......you're normal! A very warm welcome aboard and all the very best with stopping, just always remember one thing - you're NOT giving anything up - on the contrary - you're beginning to gain in soooo many ways!!!! I'm sending you a PM so read all the way through as there may be some good tips for you. I've got to say though that you're doing great so far!!! Keep strong and focused and NEVER be tempted with evil thoughts - and much less on acting on them!
I don't believe it - 12 & 1/2 years fag-free and I'm talking to a ruddy fag paper??! Save me!
Be back with you in a bit Maz and kaytee, I've a few problems at the mo but wouldn't forget you.

I thought I would pop back in here to see how everyone is doing!
Sadly DH is still smoking, but I'm pleased to say he has cut down a lot lately.
He has been telling people that he wants to stop again and I am being very good, not saying anything as at the end of the day, its got to be his decision.0 -

If only every new quitter was to do exactly what you've put above, Maz EVERYONE would quit first time round and never go back! Keep it there for a good while after you consider you've quit - just in case. We've had folk on here before who've done the same thing, some even adding a little water for real potency!!!
Very well done to you, Maz!! BTW, how far are you now? Could you kindly pop it and method/s used on your Title bar to help us all, please? Thanks a lot. All the best to your OH in stopping too, it would be marvellous for you both.
Re your munchies, have you tried Ice Pops/Poles? If not try the supermarket and get a box (not found in the freezer), then take em home and freeze them and use whenever you're peckish. They're long-lasting and cool....and work wonders!
Hi kaytee. So, today is a WHOLE WEEK free from those evil white sticks then, be so very proud of yourself as it's a HUGE achievement to be really excited about!!! Have you thought about what Maz advises above? Might be worth considering or trying out, see what "Newleaf" have advised first.
Your CM reading this week must have been way lower than last and that'll make you feel so very much better. I hope the appt went well for you and you came home feeling really proud of how well you've done. Brilliant news about your OH, he too is doing soooo very well!!!
Very well done indeed folks, you're ALL amazing, the only ones you need to convince yourselves of that sometimes - are yourselves! Be sooooo very proud of yourselves however far you've come as it's one heck of an accomplishment. Stand up tall, smile and be delighted and reward youselves, you thoroughly deserve it!!!:j:D
I'm so delighted for you ALL.

Hi Voyager, so good to see you 'live' so to speak! It's such great news that you're DH is still saying about it to others, though I wouldn't mind betting that you're a great influence to him too. Well done you on keeping schtum!!! :j Here's to a far brighter future for him...you too as a result.
