My heart went out to you on hearing your news drsmum, I was dearly hoping and praying for good news for you. However, as you already realise, all is not lost by any means! As you rightly say, you have to digest the news and hope for good news after the next scan. Any idea how long you'll have to wait?
I like your positive last sentence, you sound as though you're getting yourself prepared to fight it and that's what you need to do...be as positive as you can and fight! All being well there will be the chance of surgery for you and a healthier future to look forward to, for now we can all send up prayers for you and send you our very best wishes in abundance, which I know we all do. :smileyhea
Keep talking to us here drsmum, this thread is a great sounding board....use it to get your feelings down whatever they are. Seek the love and support of family and friends (or just one good friend) as they can be such a great comfort at times like this and would wish to be given the chance, so be careful not to shut them out. Consider us friends here too and chat to us.
Every best wish and please know that we're all thinking of you and wishing you the best of health possible. I'm only a PM away.

Och you can do it and we're right here behind you...Hugs...
Me...I had a wee nicotine overdose on dual cartomizers yesterday :rotfl:....barely slept. LOL
And anyone else noticed that when they reduce the nicotine you also reduce (naturally) your coffee which would explain why I feel so tired right now LOL.... I've cut down by about half...but we'll see what these extra fab cartos do before cutting down milk purchasing...
So yeah that's me.....If I am vaping more I need to reduce nicotine/ml to avoid OD....I was on about 30mg/ml x 3 and now I need to cut that down....

Oh dear Drsmum I feel for you, that's the worst kind of news we all fear. I hope you are okay and get better news from the scan.
I just wonder what were the symptoms that led you to have this investigated, whilst we're all aware of the risks and dangers of smoking I am sure many of us here aren't exactly out of the woods in that respect.Mortgage

kiwi,
i went to the docs because i was coughing up flem with specks of blood in it,i ignored it for a while hoping it would go away but it didnt, because im only 41 and had no other symptoms the doc didnt think i had anything to worry about but referred me to a chest specialist anyway.
I am hopefull that it has been caught early enough to cure, but am awaiting more tests.
If anyone reads this and has symptoms like this please see a doc asap0 -

Hi drsmum, good to see you - and remaining so hopeful though, quite naturally and understandably, with an air of retiscence, by far the best way to be.
Thank you so very much for being so explicit with Kiwi's question, your words at the end are wonderfully wise ones and I hope that any others out there who have similar symptoms will take your great and wise advice and hopefully.......catch it in time!!!!
My prayers, thoughts snd good wishes are with you every day.
Best wishes B.

currently having some probs on another thread (one that gave me grief before) with my e-cig..they are going all extreme  = cost, ethics everything...Argh!!!
Got major battery probs (only holding for 30-60 mins on chain vamping......the idea is that I wean myself off nicotine and get addicted to the habit of vamping then wean self off that)......
So yeah....on the e-cig forums trying to get that sorted...baring in mind spent @ least £60 on various bits of kit last week ...some of which is very good..some is yet still to come....
Aiming to get this battery stuff sorted for £30 tops......need it to last at least 1/2 a day between charges....
So yeah that's me...
Hugs for those who need them...and had another rollie @ boyf's last night but that's 3 in 10 days

Hi Erme,
Why not stay away from any places that you get grief from, you don't need it and they're just not worth it. Stay as stress-free as possible, that's where you'll find the calm of the non-smoking world which is vital to you or anyone trying to rid themelves of anything fag-related. Tell the rest of the world .....:p :rotfl:
The batteries sound a real pain in the neck, Erme, is there nothing else to replace them or the need for them? Don't worry I'm not having a dig (as if) just trying to look at it logically. Give it some thought Erme, you never know, you might think of something else.
You've still done exceptionally well though and are really doing your best to keep fag-free, just keep right on trying Erme and one of these days you'll be so thrilled with yourself as you get further and further away from fag land. Stay strong and...... stay very, very proud as you've already achieved a lot!!! :T:j:T
Believe in yourself Erme, you're stronger than you think!!!

Sue can I get adopted by you LOL.....
Battery wise they're just cheapies from China so never expected to last that long. Praising God for my fabbo charger. Spoke to Dodgy D who said if I look at the manual I can do a discharge check to check how much they have in them. Also said to charge them one @ a time which just isn't practical so will resort to charging them 2 @ a time
Invested in a torch mod (battery box for e-cig) going less than half price on the forum just to be on the safe side...
There's no escaping the batteries...the only way is to escape the e-cig....
that means reducing nicotine down to 20mg/ml and going on inhalator...expensive and not the best thing for reducing...currently on 29mg/ml so a way off that....
Thanks for the kind words though...even if I reduce by 1mg every 5-7 days I'm about 9 weeks off the 20mg/ml (but I think it has to be even lower than that for the inhalator not sure)...
