I had one whoops half asleep and just getting middle of night juice....about 2am.. I thought I could cope with tobacco right by me on the sofa....Alas I couldn't...it had to go....Promptly flushed down the loo @ 5.30am....:j...

I know from reading this thread one whoops is not a crisis...so onwards and upwards...2 days now..Now I know it starts to get hard (it's actually been a breeze past 2 days....barely craved at all on 30mg/ml e-cig and about 2mg a day nasal spray)....as the only nicotine in my body right now is from NRT....but I know I can do it and I've spent all my cig monies anyways for this week :j....

So yeah....today I'm going to get tomato juice for a healthy veg juice that I can TASTE tomorrow for a treat...should be interesting (I have a juicer so it'll be carrot, celery and tomato)....Yum!!!. Next treat will be a week which I'm thinking a bath bomb from Lush...

Not sure about my tricky time after that (6-8 weeks) but after so many failed attempts past few years where I've barely got beyond a few days sure determination will carry me through....

Though 6 weeks and I'm off on my hols :j....so sure I can find something mega wonderful for £20 or so on holidays :)

I have now been for my broncoscopy and managed alright with ,had to be sedated but got through it,waiting now on the results of 3 biopsy's
Didnt smoke but felt like getting one of the smokers outside up against a wall and grabbing their cigs off them:eek:
I am going for a CT scan on Monday morning then will see the consultant on Thursday for all my results, its gona be a really stressfull week.

Thanks for your thoughts Sue and Erme,I am constantly reminding myself that smoking put me in this position and I should never put one of the disgusting things in my mouth again(I hope)

Erme you are doing great:)try not to worry about your wee blip during the night, keep going you can do it .

You're doing really well and you'll soon be over the hard part. ...Just stick with those patches :)...Hugs...

Am struggling a bit today and needing to use a little extra NRT so we'll see how it goes before upping my nicotine in my e-cig...don't want to have to up it unless I have to but knew today and the rest of the week would be tough....

Anyhow well done Mum..debating this exercise class as it's pouring with rain and it's a 15 minute bike ride there...but still might go cos it'll be a nice wee treat and take my mind off cigs for a wee while...

    Hugs

PS. If I'm not away I have another idea for my weekly treat - a nice meal out at a cafe I know (should cost about £5 or so :j)....MUST make a list of cheap treats for self (and yes. Cream Soda @ 37p a can counts as a treat but morning sausage rolls do not!!!)

    Hi everyone.
I did join this thread before at the beginning of the year, posted twice then gave up because I failed (ouch). 3 weeks ago I had a major chest infection, took 2 courses of antibiotics and steroids to clear it, the doc gave me a months supply of patches, arranged a chest xray to check COPD. AM very proud to say I am now 2 weeks today clean of cigarettes. But its other stuff I am finding tough. I feel very lethargic, have a foul taste in my mouth and am still coughing up phlegm. Although my breathing is easier than its been for 30 years. I have mild asthma also. Was a 20-30 cigarette a day smoker, has anyone else experienced the lethargy thing. I am reasonably fit and getting fitter as I have a great dane and a little mongrel to walk daily.
congratulations to all other people who have given up, it isnt easy, but it is so worth it xx

I'd get the lethargy checked out by a medic...it could be nothing to do with cigs or it could be everything...

Still needing an little extra spray when the cravings get bad :(...but am pleased to say I"m now 71hours no cigs...

Very tired this am....Had nightmares last night :( - they woke me up too...

    Hope everyone is well

Got a battery crisis and blew £30 on who knows what e-cig wise over the weekend ...don't know if it's the batteries or the mod box (that'll be £15 to replace ) so a tad worried..think when I get paid next week it might be worth getting a passthrough and a spare mod box just in case (where the battery goes)....

So just sitting here waiting for postie and STARVING...

Even on vaping I'm getting increasingly hungry...:(...sure I'll put on a tonne of weight...

Lovely to smell all the wonderful smells again and be able to wear perfume though :D

Knowing how doubly hard it is for you Erme, I am so over the moon that you're managing to stay of the smokes. :T Congratulations and big pat on the back for you.

Sounds very complicated and expensive all that e-cig stuff but sure you'll more than make up for the additional expense in the long-run. It's just these early days when it's really difficult
