Thanks little evo, we don;t have a homebargain store down here ( I am in the back f beyond

The 4mg gum is very strong, not minty strong but nicotine strong, it reminds me of the joke chewing gum you used to get when when we were kids that tasted of strong pepper! It took a while to get used to, but as i type i got a piece in my mouth and it isn't all that bad, but i have noticed my digestive system has been a little "off" shall we say, now i don't know whether that is because i have given up smoking or it is the gum i am chewing?! lol0

Hey guys, thought I return here for an update, I am of the smokes 3 weeks now, longest ever for me, I have avoided posting on here as I found the constant talking about smoking made me start smoking, so I suppose I have just been ignoring it and it seemed to work, I don't want to jinx myself but it has been fairly easy, in my 3 weeks i've had a funeral to deal with, a few social occasions involving drink, all major tests and I passed with flying colours, starting to think I might make it this time. The 4mg gum is very strong, not minty strong but nicotine strong, it reminds me of the joke chewing gum you used to get when when we were kids that tasted of strong pepper! I went of using the 4mg gum, after a day or so I wondered why I had a little extra gas:D and seemed to be running to the loo it was down to that damn gum, gave it up and have had no issues.0 -

well I made my 3 month mark today :dance:very pleased with myself. Have had a few *thoughts* about smoking as have had some personal stuff on my plate the last few weeks, but I haven't given in :T I realise smoking won't actually change it or make a slightest bit of difference! So I go onwards & upwards
to all our friends who we haven't seen for a while I hope you are all staying strong & are enjoying the wonders of being smoke free

(((hugs))). Well, that came at the wrong time - not that there is a good time. Don't feel bad, just keep reading. Post if you want - remember that we're not judging, whatever the problem is and there is really no 'off topic'. A lot of us have been where you are and there are no easy answers but we are here when you are ready to start again.
A motivation which has helped me through many sticky patches is "S*d them, I'll show them!"But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?0 -

driving was a real excuse for smoking continuously, so I know how hard it can be once you stop - but hey I still need to get from a to b!DF as at 30/12/16

Yay, go Mandamoo, you have done the hard bit, by stepping off the precipice and putting your best foot forward and your money where your mouth is!! You have made that all important start. I can't kid you, today will be a very long day, so make the most and get yourself busy, busy, busy,
Kim and Aggie have nothing on us newly quit smokers. :rotfl: I think it should be added to the introductory instructions, to stock up on cloths, bleach, polish and rubber gloves instead of buying fags.Mortgage
Start January 2017: $268,012

3 weeks today, and i have finally gave up the gum! I do feel a little lost though, perhaps some normal gum after food or something might help.
Good luck to Mandamoo, small steps are what is needed at 1st, an hour followed by 2, followed by an afternoon and before you know it, have an early night if you can (i did this quite a few times when i started to give up) sleeping is a good way of giving up smoking i felt, wear yourself out in the day if you can, have a early night as you don't smoke when you sleep! Also it means the body is ridding itself of all those toxins etc if you are catching a few well deserved "zzz's"
Good luck keep us all updated, together we can beat the dreaded weed!0
