Thanks MV. Josh is so cute! Where did you get that hat? (That's a song isn't it?)

CL - she is gorgeous - what a lovely smile! Isaac is a few weeks older - nearly 7 and a half months! He's still sleeping and I've still got nothing done! Ah well, he'll only be small once. I am totally loving this motherhood thing (didn't have a good pregnancy but was so grateful to have him).

I don't want to go back to work either! (I'll do the Northern Ireland branch of your new company MV!!). I will have to stop work if we have a second as we can't afford nursery for 2 so need to pay off as much of the mortgage as pssible and build up our savings a bit more. Of course all entirely dependent on whether I am physically ok to carry a second one!

In the Lurgan area (well countryside, but that's the nearest town). What about you?

    Lovely baby pics.

Re BLW I pretty much do extra and give him that although me being a veggie I do him some diced meat or fish as a side. This is his usual menu:

Breakfast - Mini Shredded wheats (with whole milk), fruit (strawberries/blueberries squished/banana/raspberries) or scrambled egg on toast or cheese on toast.

Lunch - Pasta twists with cheese, some veg like carrots/brocoll or cherry tomatoes or cheese on toast or some meat cut up into finger food portions.

Dinner - Similar to lunch. Have done rice and noodles too which I was making.

Main thing is try to vary it up and not too much bread (max 2 slices a day because of salt)

I'm in Ballyclare countryside area - wish I was more countryside but DH is from Belfast and got traumatised at moving too far out! LOL! Silly man - its not like there's too many areas in NI which are cut off from civilisation!

Sir M - I think I might try the shredded wheat! At the mo LO has Ready Brek for breakfast which he loves and can't get into himself fast enough!

Oh does anyone have any ideas on how to encourage him to chew his food a bit more (or gum his food I should say as he has no back teeth - 6 at the front though!) - he seems to be swishing it round his mouth and then swallowing it - sometimes with difficulty if he has bitten off a large piece. Just wondered if there is anything I can do to get him to chew more or will ot just come with time?

Our LO chews the most when she gets pasta or a little piece of banana.

Gorgeous babies :) I love Joshua's hat! I really liked the name Noah, but DH claimed I only liked it because he was a character in Heroes :( (and also that it was too "biblical". Which Joseph isn't, obviously...)

Thanks Sir M. I think we just need to start experimenting with the finger foods. Do you make things in advance? I'm just wondering what I can send along to the childminder's or to Granny's with him when I'm working. I do think the mush has its place, but he definitely seems to enjoy being able to feed himself, as you can see (with hindsight, it's a shame I'd picked the broccoli out of his eyebrows and a lump of carrot off his cheek before I took this :rotfl:)
