baby groups - start them ASAP, as if you don't start going until baby is older, all the other new mums already know each other and are clique-y friends and it's REALLY hard to get friendly unless you get lucky and someone else new turns up too. Or maybe it was just me b/c I'm shy...:o :(

This doesn't always work either as the 3 ladies at mine with babies the same age as Bob all went to a young parents antinatal thingy together but I don't care cos its the only free one within walking distance on at a good time. I just hang out with the slightly older and less cliquey mums. I mean with slightly older babies not older mums. If your a first time mum though it can be very daunting going to groups when you don't know any mums. I really only take bob because he is such a grump and gets so bored so easily. Everything I go to is term time only too which is good cos it means I'm not missing loads when the other mums go and I'm entertaining the older two.

Hello, hope everyone is ok. I have been lurking and not posting much as I am feeling a bit overwhelmed by everything at the moment. Sofia seems to be settling a bit better but I on the other hand seem to be feeling "strange" sorry dont really know what other word to call it. I have got over my constant tiredness but really need to get some motivation and start doing things. I wanted to go to some Mum and baby groups but I am really quite shy and just dont know whether I would like it, but then I feel really selfish that I shouldnt be thinking about me but doing it for Sofia. My HV is bringing out all the brochures next week when she comes so we will see if I fancy anything.

Things are picking up on the money front aswell, Child benefit got paid last week, and my child tax & working tax credits have been sorted and will be paid as from Tuesday, just waiting on a couple more things and hopefuly it will all work out.

    Hope everyone else is ok.

That's what I did. The ink was non toxic and I wiped it off straight afterwards with a wipe. If you want hand prints your best bet is probably when they're asleep - Alice was much older before I was able to get hands as I couldn't get her to keep her hands flat - she would screw her hand up. Feet are dead easy though.

    Those are adorable!

We used salt dough, squished T's feet and hands into it, allowed to dry and then painted a few coats of poster paint then sealed with varnish. His feet have grown so much now!

Beccles; what a gorgeous girl you have!

Pigpen; I really do not know how you manage with kids and pets!! I find it hard enough having 1 baby and no pets!

    IM MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVING!!! wooo!

Congrats on moving KK and weekend off Becles :j

Sharkey it's normal, even if you don't go to the baby groups just getting out at all helped me. I like going to feed the ducks, and a buggy is generally excuse enough lol.

I'm absolutely and completely shattered, the twins trashed their room yesterday after a really bad week with the two of them, it's been a constant battle and it took much sreaming until 9.30 pm  for them to finally get it done, it was really draining even with OH being a big help.

Then because we were all so tired this morning was awful too, I forgot I had said I'd go see my friend (actaully one of my school friends mums) as I've been promising to for ages didn't feel I could let her down, then got home just before 1 and been sorting Squeak, Just now I put her to bed and fell asleep as well, all just a bit crap especially as I was trying to be so organised yesterday :(

I ate a load of OH's crisps (there goes the diet!) and now I've woken up and I really really want a cold coke but I have none and Squeak is asleep and the shop is all the way down the road... See I do me me me posts too!

Sharkey, Giz & SJP glad to see you all posting here, it is very different from the pregnancy thread and I do appreciate that when people get the chance to come on to post they usually need to vent about their own situation!

My LO has just woken up so need to make this short. So quick question, I have one of those £5 off vouchers for Sainsbury's TU childrenswear range. They don't sell online and when I search for a store near me selling it I'm told there's nothing close by (don't know what parameters they use to define "close by"). Does anyone know of a big Sainsbury's superstore anywhere in London which carries this range?

but don't you feel better doing mememe posts when someone else has done them too?

I think we should all do a huuuuuge mememe post each week just to offload.. I am sure it will make us all a lot nicer IRL lol Actually, I'm a horrible person.. I should do one daily!

I don't think you're anymore horrible than anyone else.

When there are lots of kids you can't be nice all the time, everyone has to know their place imo :D

Normally I just go with it.. I find it less stressful than trying to be socially acceptable.. If people don't like me.. good, i don't want to talk to them anyway! lol
