  • With a naughty meter you are exporting at the same rate as you buy back in so I can't see why anyone will be saving jobs for a sunny day. Or is my arithmetic all to 'male chicken'?

The way I see it, although we all know pv generated elec can't be stored, you're effectively 'banking' it for use later :D
Better things to do on a sunny day :)

Noticed my panels were a bit birdie splattered this morning so hoping for some overnight rain to clean them!

    QUOTE]

Don't worry I am trying not to.:D Like now I am checking my work e-mails and sending in some test results and haveing a sneaky peak on MSE. I Have spent a wonderful hour in my greenhouse and after lunch I shall attack my front hedge with the electric trimmers (That would make a great smilie!)

Free Juice? You are quite right I don't really have to save my jobs for a sunny day. The truth is though I teach 4 days a week so save all my jobs for a Friday. Of course though I will do more washing if it is sunny because I can hang things out to dry. I do set the washing machine on timer through the week but I need an ,as yet uninvented machine, that can take the washing from the machine and hang it out in the daylight. (I did try to train the dogs but they failed miserably;))

Sorry, I know this is sad :o, but I am excited and need to share!

Popped home at lunchtime and was watching remote monitor showing output from panels and watched it ramp up to 2095w :j, briefly (on a 2.22kWp system) that's the best I've witnessed so far!

I get close to 2.9 on a 3.29 system (installed Jan 2011) and 3k inverter, but not when the sky is clear, I need the sun to shine through a smallish hole between fluffy white clouds. I suspect my panels like the light to come from all sorts of diffuse angles.
