I get close to 2.9 on a 3.29 system (installed Jan 2011) and 3k inverter, but not when the sky is clear, I need the sun to shine through a smallish hole between fluffy white clouds. I suspect my panels like the light to come from all sorts of diffuse angles.

I've only ever hit peak when it has been sunshine and clouds. Clear days not nearly as good for peaking albeit more consistent.

    Interesting......
Fascinating all these little things you discover once your system is up and running!

:j 9 kWh generated today (10 according to remote monitor) still a good day, despite it being cloudy on and off all day

Can't believe the difference between Feb & March weather/generation! :T
2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shading
Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

  • By some coincidence exactly the same today as Wednesday, right down to three decimal places. Not all that good, the sun tried but largely failed. 8.165.

85 in March, 106% of prediction for the days in question.

I wonder if any of the 'Techies' on these threads can explain this:

I have a new (rent a roof) installation, and my leccy meter is running backwards so I know when I'm generating. Yesterday, in the middle of the day when the sun was blazing, my system stopped generating and we were using. Hubby went up in the loft to look at the inverter, which had lights flashing and was turning itself on and off continually. Some while later the system started to generate again.
We have a 3840Wp system with a Fronius IG35 Inverter.
    What do you think?

Proving to be a very productive March so far. 146kwh producd so far and even now (4pm) running at 1.65kw. Prediction was for 188 kwh to be produced over the month so about 50% higher than expected so far.

    How is everyone else doing?

You don't live in the SE then where the winter fog has yet to lift? A couple of days ago I heard the forecast come out of Broadcasting House, only 12 miles from me, at 1pm saying it was sunny and it would continue all afternoon. If only they had looked out of the window. No sun at all.

110 kWh in March so far.
