Crisp clear and sunny, without a cloud in the sky, here in the Midlands.
Standing by for 'highest of the year' reports after 6pm!!!!

Just to say that sunny weather (+ being cold outside) means that an electric heater can be run for a few hours, in our case at 750, 1250 or 2000W settings depending on pv output. Saves putting CH on during day. Overall we're getting better at phasing usage to output and reducing grid import.
Helps hugely that we're at home all day, doubt if it would work for couples out during day.
And despite being at home I suspect that over a year we'll be lucky if we use over 50% of what we produce, although using the immersion for summer hot water might alter that.0 -
My kWh is already highest of the year although the watts is falling far short of the best I've seen. I climbed the local hill and the horizon is distinctly hazy if that is not a contradiction in terms.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Just got home from work and the first thing I have done is dashed outside to read my inverter. 23.08kWh reported here.:DIt is still producing but only just. By 8.00am I was exporting to the grid (thank you again Jon for explaining how to tell.) It is such a shame that this did not happen at the weekend so I could really utalise it. rhiwfield is correct in that it is very hard to use even 50% if you are out at work. I did get a wash load done and the dishwasher and my cleaner would have hoovered, so I have done the best I can.
I was wondering in future when buying new goods that can be rechargable such as screwdrivers it would make MSE sense to buy thses to charge in the day???

I appreciate that 'every little helps', but they really use tiny amounts of power.
Just think if every day was like today you would get back about £3,800 plus whatever you could use in the house!!!!!0 -

Oh wise one, your prediction is, of course, accurate!teachergirl wrote: »Just got home from work and the first thing I have done is dashed outside to read my inverter. 23.08kWh reported here.:DIt is still producing but only just.
Excellent! :Tteachergirl wrote: »How did you do taday Jackieblack?
Generation meter shows 12kWh.
Fronius remote monitor says 13kWh generated, but that always says more as (I understand) the generation meter shows a reduced figure taking into account the power used to run the inverter (?)2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

Yes it is. 3.96kWh. Lets hope we get lots more days like today...I'm using my fit payments to help pay off my mortgage(as I borrowed my money from this in the first place with my off set mortgage.) Maybe I could retire:DEnough money to live on so retired early...planning to see where life takes me:D0

17 here with a 3.29 system.
Peak outputs were lower than I've seen within the past two months - but for much longer of course.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
21.5kwh from our 3.96kwp system today and about ruddy time too. Todays output just about adds up to the total of the previous 8 full days during which we've been trapped under a slab of static grey cloud on the east coast.
Going to need a lot more days like today to get near the pvgis estimates (278kwh) for March.0 -
67 kw/h for March so far. Quite pleased with the 3.29kwp system which is WSW.
Managed 13 kw/h today alone. As we have a westerly outlook, it is amazing to see how the output zooms up - round about 10am - when the sun comes round to hit the panels. As the sun gets higher, hoping this will get earlier and earlier notwithstanding the hour going forward.
Peaks were way down on the other day when it maxed out. When it hit peak, it was very sunny, but with the occasional cloud. Today was less clear - a bit of haze around - which has made a big difference.0 -
my 3.76kwp system managed 22.5kwh yesterday and 96kwh so far in march. Has been sunny for all March on sunny south coast.0
