Oh no Pigpen, poor little Freja. Hope it passes quickly. Thank goodness for washing machines eh! DS was sick in his bed last night (had a bad dream, woke up crying and got a bit hysterical and threw up .... all over the clean sheet I'd put on that morning) and then his nappy leaked so off went that sheet and I'll put on yet another new one when I do his bed. Never ends does it.

Oh that must have been a very scary dream.. poor man.. :(

I just hope it doesn't catch everyone else as well as her.. though DD1 was feeling sicky this morning she said.. I have a major major phobia of vomit (to go with my fire one.. and my less severe terror of horses, cows, moths and dragonflies!)

    hi all

Pigpen -having older siblings are godparents worked for us - i am from a large family one of 8 children and i am godmother to my little sister, (one of my brothers was the other godparent) i was 16 when she was born....I am very close to her, although she is big now - she is 30 next year  , when she was a teenager i did try and talk to her about those things that perhaps she did not want to talk to mum about... and although now at 30 she is probably richer than me if anything had happened to our parents when she was young i would have taken care of her.... My mum had a heart attack when my sister was 2 and both her and my brother who was 3 at the time came to live with me for a few weeks whilst my mum recupperated.... I cant say we did this because i am her godmother or because i am her big sister - but we are close and do talk weekly on the phone even though she lives over 200 miles away from me.

DD1 is sad because she will be moving out before Freja is old enough to remember living with her apparently, though she did say she was staying to scrounge off us through university which means Freja will be at least 6 before DD1 goes lol.

Afternoon all, posting first and catching up after :)

Sorry to hear about your DH's work, lil-me

I didn't see the list earlier so I've done the bedrooms today, all of them, and vacuumed the landing and bathroom/toilet floors. Two loads of washing done and then the cats blankets which are having to sit on chair backs to dry because I've run out of drying space. Washing machine given an empty wash to clean it out (with vinegar in the drawer).

I polished in the living room (again) and vacuumed right through downstairs (again) and did the computer desk.

So I've overlapped jobs a bit. I'll do the bathroom/toilet tomorrow. Oh and I tidied up the airing cupboard, got the spare duvet back up on the top shelf after it was used over Christmas and refolded and tidied up the throws which had been a bit "thrown".

Time to start cooking dinner, then I'll try to catch up. Hope everyone's OK.
