  • Have washed up, 3rd load of washing is in and have mended DS's work trousers which were split in a very obvious place:eek::eek:.:o:o:o

The reality is that the trousers are too small, but he has been asking for some new ones for ages with no result:mad:. But given that he works for a major fast food retailer on the minimum wage with no extra pay for bank holidays neither he nor I are surprised!

When I typed the last bit in I mistyped fast food as fat food - maybe it was my subconcious!

[STRIKE]Scrub bath, loo, sinks, showers[/STRIKE] Done. I love doing the bathroom....I light a candle while doing it and it is so easy...everything is designed to be cleaned.
    Level Three
[STRIKE]Wash mat etc that are grotty[/STRIKE] hurrah! A clean bathmat is lovely. I usually put a new one out on Fridays for DH coming home, does anyone else have family that try to turn the bathroom into a swimming pool?

    Morning all

We have sun her but it is very cold and windy.

I've finished the kitchen so far this morning.

Going to make a cuppa and then move onto to the family room and start packing away a few of the christmas decs. Tree will stay until tomorrow but some of the other bits can be put back.

This afternoon either a little time outside or a little time on my new wii pilates game.

I guess it depends on your reason for having godparents. I am not my nephew's godmother specifically because I'm his only aunt, and in many ways having godparents is a way of extending his family and ensuring that there are other people responsible for him as he grows up. If you know that your DD1 and DS1 are the ones who will be most involved with Freja, and take responsibility for her if you need help and support (or to get away!), then it makes sense. Think about what you want godparents for (apart from presents... but if you just wanted great pressies for her you'd have picked the richest people you knew :p), and what they'll all get out of it and you'll know whether its the right decision.

I don't even consider or expect presents.. Godparents to me are the people who I would hope would look after the children and teach them moral sense, with or without the religious aspect, but preferably with as I think it is important for them to experience it should I not be around to do that.

As one of 9 with my 8 siblings and OH's sister I don't think we need to extend her family!
Pigpen - I think it's a lovely idea to have your children as godparents :) Mine are all close together in age, but if there was a bigger age gap between them and I had christened them it is certainly something I would have considered.

I'll be doing that then I think :D

Today however she appears to have her first tummy bug :( .. the bedding that has been on 2 night is back in the washing machine, she is on her third lot of clothes and OH is on his second! His first set included his brand new hoodie he had been wearing less than an hour!

Hi all, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!! Hope everyone had the best festive season possible.

Just wrote a long post but lost it :-(

    In synopsis:
Have only been lurking for a couple of weeks & trying to keep on top of things, but need to step things up a gear & get back on track now..& need to catch up with the last 1.5 'Freds' at some point...not sure when...thinking I may need a broom up the proverbial to stand a chance of getting all that I need to done.

MANY THANKS for the posi-vibes w/c 20/12/10 & before, I have a job starting on Mon! :-) However, it's only guaranteed for 3 mths & will mean a 50% pay cut intially, but I'm thankful for it & am counting my blessings. There are a bunch of reasons that made me feel it was the right thing for me to do atm, but I won't bore you all with them now, as I'll never find a list if I do!!!

First week will be in Germany, so I need to get caught up with the house & get my case packed before we go to Lincs for the weekend. Also need to do some meals for H2B for while I'm away ( need to do everything I can to help him avoid the temptation of expensive junk food while I'm away, we need to knuckle down now that we have the wedding as well as a deposit to save for, not to mention my pay cut!!!!)

    Right, - Listy.......
