Possiby a mad question..
Freja's godparents.. we are having 1 by proxy (he is in Oz travelling until June) OH's sister.. would it be highly inappropriate to have DD1 (she is 16) and maybe DS1 (19) as well??
Not at all! I think it's a very good idea!
And they'd have no excuse for forgettting birthdays, which all our well chosen godparents have consistently done!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

Pigpen sounds fine to me, my boys aren't christened and don't have god parents, less complicated, to be fair we were going to get them both christened when they were 3 and 1 and decided not to, one reason was who would have been their godfather died. I lost the plot a bit after that for a while.
Early and BAD start - pah! DP went to work only to find out he no longer has a job during the week as his school contract has been cancelled so that's this years budget needs rethinking as he's lost half of his job. Plus side is we don't need to get up at 5.45am every day, negative is loosing a lot of money, what was a 'starter' wage each week. He's also really worried about what has happened to the boy he took. Oh well what's meant to be is meant to be, he's off to look at some storage/workshop units today possibly renting one to do some self employed work, see how that goes but I've made him promise no long contracts incase it doesn't work!
Right, shower then get DS2 up who's having the extra sleep, thought it would be the other way as DS1 was up until well past 1am but he's been up since 6.45 fresh as a daisyOne day I might be more organised...........

So I have a lot of decluttering left and my study is a mess so I am going to tackle a bit at a time and it might take a few days to get through the lot.
Have a good day.

Ok brain pick while I remember, we no longer have a 'knitting/sewing shop' near us, no idea where there is one, where can I get buttons without paying a fortune or ordering loads? I've emailed blazer supplier but no response so far. DS1 keeps jamming his blazer buttons in door ways and chairs, so I could do with about 6 black buttons, 2 for now and some spares.... they are 18mm across I think. I'm not the sewing type so thought I would ask you guys. One day I might be more organised...........

Hello, i have joined this thread twice before in the past but disappeared both times for various reasons but i am here to stay this time if you'll have me! Partly to keep me motivated and partly to give me some adult virtual conversation throughout the day as i'm home all day with my 1 year old! I look forward to getting to know people and rather than rabbit on about myself here i'll join in the chat as much as i can and get to know you all that way.
I've been following the thread since Monday but not had chance to post so here's my list so far...

Freja's godparents.. we are having 1 by proxy (he is in Oz travelling until June) OH's sister.. would it be highly inappropriate to have DD1 (she is 16) and maybe DS1 (19) as well??), and what they'll all get out of it and you'll know whether its the right decision.
Garage is really annoying me - there is one helpful person there and one not so. I was told a month ago to call first thing today about winter tyres as there is another shipment coming in. So I did. The unhelpful person told me that they had their last delivery in October and weren't expecting anymore. So I explained I'd been told to call today and he said 'Oh, you must have spoken to my colleague who knows more than me' and said I'd just have to call back at some point
Gym kit located, breakfast being eaten. Need to get some work done and then call the garage again before I head off to the gym.0
