    hi all

i am having a CBA day - really need to get back into the routine but have no energy ...

oh well off to take down the xmas cards and write down people's new addresses etc...

i want to get the decs down in Living room and then i can dust...

i hate taking the decorations down - it feels so bare without them..

its just the deep mid-winter now ..

right off to set timer for 30mins..

  • Yippee - WM now washing & draining properly, so lots of washing can be done.

Tree & decs all down, sorted through and packed ready for DH to help me get into the loft. Medium bag binned as too far gone, similar bag put together for the charity shop next Christmas - and now have halved the storage boxes to go back into loft. Result I think..

HHbreak - then library, barbers, post office etc and a nice walk in the fresh air,

    Moam
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

    Hi :j
    Happy New Year!

Just popped in from the Lurkerlist to let you know that my daughter gave birth to our second grandson on 1/1/11 at 7.40pm weighing in at 7lb 9oz. Mum and son are back at home. I was her birthing partner as her hubbie is very squeamish!

Just the good news we needed - still no work done on our flooded house (more snow/Xmas/New Year) which is very frustrating. We'll be lucky to get the house back in six months.

I've been watching the thread and following the lists quietly - will rejoin properly soon.

Welcome to Newbies and hugs to those who need one!

:hello:Morning ladies!! (Well, it was still morning when I finally caught up with the thread!)

OH at work, DS2 at college/school - and I have a payback day off! So why exactly did I make a hospital appt for 9.30 in the town where I work??? Well, mainly because I don't have to take a day off, or wait for another month. I wanted to have a small 'blemish' (for want of a better word) on my face checked. As I suspected, a small cancerous skin thingy (basal cell carcinoma??? I think that's what she said), which will need removing - they've given me a short notice referral, so it could be anytime in the next 18 weeks. I'm not worried, and no need for hugs - until the day I actually have to go and have it done! I've not been to this hospital before, and parked in the wroing car park, having to walk the entire length of the building complex to get to outpatients - I hate the smell. On the way back, I took a 15 minute walk around the entire exterior so I wouldn't have to do it again.

Flying-wise - yesterday I did the kitchen:D, including lots of rearranging of china, which has decluttered part of the worktops.

Today, I'm going to do the cloakroom, livingroom, and hall - in a mimute in fact! I'll take down all the Christmas decorations and tree, and DS2 can put them up in the loft after school.

Then, I need to spend the afternoon planning... a New Year's Quiz I think, one Spanish, one French...

Love and hugs to all those flyladies in need.

    Welcome to the newbies!

  • DH due home early for a haircut so hopefully that means he can do the cricket nets run this week as I doubt he'll be in the country on home early enough to do many of the others.

Is this the Japan trip? Hope you find plenty to occupy you while he's away - here is a good place to be if you need company :D

Good Afternoon all. I'M BACK!! Been awol/lurking for months out of sheer laziness, tiredness, too much other stuff to do. But I'm going for a NEW YEAR, NEW START approach... going to just jump back in at the deepend here. Doing my own thing this week, living areas are mostly okish so I am starting with kids rooms as they are virtually unusable after the christmas influx of new toys and things and junk... need to find homes for EVERYTHING!!.
I have just over 2 hours before school run time and I want to get atleast one room sparkly and shiny before I go.. wish me luck.!!!
