The lady in the shop was mortified when she brought a pair out and my immediate response was 'They are HIDEOUS!!!'.. apparently it came across a little strong.. I'm just glad I didn't swear lol.. they were like Mr Men brogues.. for a girl?!?!?!

Excellent - DH has kept promise and put kitchen back as it was before so looking good again (I'm shutting my eyes to all the builders stuff in the corner obviously).
Bathroom bits had a good clean - it's amazing how filthy things get even when you do stay on top of them!
Study - Did the clearing off of the desk and giving it a good wipe - behind the monitor was an eyeopener. I've never seen such a disgusting collection of dust and cat hair in one place - amazed DH and I are still alive.
Right, off to finish a pear and ginger trifle (making, not eating) and start a chicken casserole off for friends coming tonight. Going to have a lovely time and not think about anymore housework till tomorrow.
Have a great evening everyone - don't work too hard!0 -
(doing a soappie!!:D although she'd no doubt have one fitted by dinner time tonight!)
Hugs for your Dad Helen he's in the best place....
Well, the sun did finally pop its head out after lunch so I've a line of washing out. And I went and got provisions so I don't need to do that tomorrow.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Helen sorry to hear that your Dad's so poorly again.:(
As we don't have any canine guests at present, work has today commenced on replacing the kitchen door. So Flying could be ...er... interesting next week!
The smoke alarm has gone off twice, because of all the wood dust, that it obviously thought was smoke.
I've washed and dried the bedlinen, and done a machine load of Mr LW's clothes.
Need to make the bed up with clean linen - must remember to do that before we want to get in it! Also need to turn the mattress; don't worry Toots, I promise I won't attempt doing that by my self!:D
Not sure how fraught things will be here early next week, so just in case I don't post for a day or three, don't worry, in the best Terminator fashion, "I'll Be Back!";)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
helen ..hope your dad gets better soon bless him x
been to mil for lunch and was so full i could hardly move but dd and i went for a long walk with our dog so that has helped lol .
it was funny at lunch , after mil and i had spent about an hour washin and wiping up i opened the wrong cupboard and found a dw stuffed with carrier bags and cereal boxes .when i asked her why she had never used it she said she thought it might cost too much money and cause a flood love her lol x0 -
helen (((hugs))) for you and your dad. yes he is in the best place and I am sure they are doing everything possible to control the pneumonia - the AB's will help. Try to be upbeat with the children and take them in as soon as possible so they can see with their own eyes that he is poorly but being looked after. I am also worried about you! you havent slept properly and are quite naturally worried stressed and up to 90 - please try and rest - maybe even get something from the doc - make sure you are eating high energy healthy foods to keep you going even if only nibbling - its very important to take care of yourself in case your Dad or Mum or the children need you! You are in my thoughts and prayers xx
aj fingers crossed they have a date free for you - enjoy the fair - I am sure you will get loads of ideas:eek:
Aunty Crafty :T:T:T well done with your lists
Ishtar thats great about Mum - everything crossed that it stays that way (((hugs)))
neveah awh bless her - I hope you have now got her organised to use it.

Hello all
Haven't posted on here much this week but pretty much managed to keep on top of things despite being back at work. Wanted to sit down with DH tonight and discuss finances but he's had a major row with his old man so timing isn't good! Maybe next week....0 -
Evening all
Have been busy - won't sound like much but made a list for myself for the weekend and prioritised what needing doing firstI'm working through the list and it's working quite well for me
I have also based it on level 1 for this week although that will be done mainly tomorrow
So far have done:
Hand washed clothes for today
Dried clothes
Ironed clothes
Fed animals
Sorted a consultant pack for a new team member
Cooked meals - yes I know that's basic but am including everything
Made an important phone call
Kept dishes clear
Interviewed new team member
Not much I know but most of the day was taken up with travelling. I am now going to concoct a meal out of food that I have here made out of rice, sausages, tomatoes, eggs, herbs and flavourings and homemade wedgesIf it's any good I will let you know
Will put up what flying I do between now and tomorrow evening as I go along
Love and hugs to everyone - especially those who want/need them :A
