Evening all! Hope people have had a good week. I have had abusy but nice day today. Went into town this morning and doubled checked that I had paid the final payment of my loan :j Then sorted a better rate for my ISA. Went to Mr T and got a few bargains and came home to find postie had delivered the birth certificates I had ordered :D

Then went to lunch with my friend, her DH and DD (who is nearly 3) before popping in to see my dad to show him the birth certificates.

Came back and succeeded in some flying and some laziness!

I haven't been reading the thread properly this week so am sending a big hello and a hug to all of you and also

Helen - thoughts and prayers for you and your dad x

Toots and L-L - hugs and prayers for you both xx

Spose I should see what my list looks like!! ..........

Jenny - we can't give medical advice on here, so if you're worried, a call to NHS direct might be a good idea. AF can be a little tempermental at times (I've had a lot of issues since around September, mostly caused by stress combined with international travel, which always upsets her!). Tampons can cause TSS, so if you have a towel or mooncup to use as an alternative it might be a good idea while you're feeling strange. A call to NHS direct will probably clarify things.

Slow-cooked pheasant was delicious. Most of one eaten, and one untouched, so enough to take off the bone and use on Monday, plus carcasses for stock. Why does using food from the freezer seem to result in more stuff to freeze? I made leek & potato to go with it, so did some small ones to freeze too!

Off to bed now - popped in to see Dad earlier - he's been on a Nebuliser for 10 hours and he sounded really bad, didn't stay long as he was tired, told DD and DS. DS was very nonchalant about it [he cares but doesn't know how to show it] DD was, as I thought, very upset, asking if he was going to die, as he is 83 I thought I had better start laying the foundation of his dying at some point so I answered that I didn't know, I hoped he wouldn't but I couldn't promise anything, silly as it sounds I think she was happy with that. Mum was very tired and upset, I think that she too is realising that this is very serious and that we have to be prepared for the worst although she won't say that out loud.

Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers

    Helen x

PS Toots - thank you for your message and I am glad to hear that you are starting to get a little bit better x

    busy busy day

washed, line dried (well almost) and ironed it
met friend for lunch and mooch around town. Went into Clarks and bought some bargainous ankle boots (brown) for 70% off at just over £20. I wear them for work (under trousers) and am thrilled with them. Especially since I wear brown trousers at work and I have only got black ankle boots at the moment.
Took xmas cards to Morrisons but they've been collected now. Had an e bay sale so posted that. another 99p sale but that's clutter out of the house and a boost to the savings, albeit a littley.

Been to visit a couple of work colleagues too.

Helen FWIW I have NEVER promised my kids that I, or anyone else, isn't going to die - (not that there's any actual known risk at the moment if you see what I mean) because the kids both had separation anxiety issues after their dad and I separated. What I always DID say was that I would not choose to leave them and reassure them that people (named and known to them) would care for them. With an elderly grandparent sufferring from pneumonia the risk is very real - if the worst happens you are not going to get the angry backlash of 'you said he wouldn't die' so IMO you are doing the right thing.
I hope he's as comfortable as possible.

froddy well done on the final payment
    Jenny greenbee is right x
serena sorry to hear about the cooker! For us a small and large oven is a must so would be no to the Smeg. Slow cookers are fab.
    Fedup good luck!!!
embb great to see you home :) I can see you having to bring the bunnikins back as a frost is forecast again and they don't do outdoors as good in frost. Bet littley loves them does she?
AnWs Mum I am pleased you have made that decision, the pool were totally unreasonable about the lessons
soappie well done, if only you lived closer I would buy all spares :D does sound like an uncomfortable night, oh and I can't stand sleeping in a single bed so I think you're brave too. I had to in spain last year and fell out repeatedly
Vanilla that sounds like a great plan! Good luck and working hard on meal plans etc will work out really well for you I am sure
Dusty your house sounds like fun on weekends when you end up with a household derby day!
Triker please put the spade back in, don't think it's gone yet! We had bad snow until mid February last year (half term as we were wondering if we would get to Scotland!) and I hope hoopity chicken is better soon
OU course I'm doing from January are A217 introducing religions and SD226 biological psychology, yes totally random!
Mrs_B as someone who has been there with the storage issues etc, you need to first work out what you need. A serious declutter. Once you know what you need to store you can work out what you need to store it in. Maybe work on reducing kitchen stocks if you can't fit equipment in? Allocate space for appliances/equipment you need then whatever is left is for food? We start with three boxes when decluttering......it's easier, a bit like when moving house 1) keep box 2) sell/give away box 3) bin box/bag. Put a box in every room for things you find in the room your sorting that belong elsewhere.
hex, get rid :o what is he thinking!!! Ok you could sell for 'snow prices' possibly now, we're looking for a second cheaper 4x4 but people want crazy money right now, but you've just had the box and clutch done. I'm shocked that it's needed a new box by 70k but anyway that sets you up for a while, you'd only be buying somoene elses problems

Finished rearranging the pantry and pans cupboard. I've deciced I'm going to sort out the rest over the next few days as they're all a bit piggledy

I've done quite a bit of general clearing today, I can see things slipping again. Boys have got bits and pieces all over the place, most of it's been shifted upstairs now.

No more snow here which I am pleased about, we had a splutter yesterday which went then today places a few miles have some but it's missed us, yay!
One day I might be more organised...........

    Hi greenbee :)
Thanx - I'm ok, have had dizzy spells for past week but I do think it's more than likely down to lack of sleep more than anything. It also could still be wishful thinking which is silly because I really couldn't afford to give up work anyway. I hope I didn't sound whingy :(
Thanx for your help - I will call NHS if anything else occurs, I haven't been myself all week - again probably down to sleepless nights. I am still my usual happy self though :)
Hope yours is all settled for you now - blinkin AF can be a real nuisance sometimes, lol!
