I'm so confused now! :( I checked my budget at the beginning of the week and was short by a considerable amount, even without spending any more until the end of the month. I thought that I must have made a major mistake when I originally did my figures.

I've just updated my records and everything looks fine - I have enough left to manage without problems until payday. I wonder whether the last balance included payments that had gone out, but were not listed yet.
It's knocked my confidence in internet banking, though. I'll check everyday for the next week, at least, to make sure that I'm on track. What a nightmare. At least I shouldn't need the additional overdraft and can bring it back down to the usual amount after I get paid. Not risking it before!

I'll be collecting a new phone from Argos later and will have a look at Primark and maybe TKMax, as I could do with a new top or two to go out in. :j

ETA If that's a HHC, Greenbee and MOAM, I'm in from 10.30. Want to be out by 12 and the banking stuff has taken ages.

Mrs C - I'm showered and almost dressed :p so plan to get out of the door and off to the post office and bottle bank. I'll extend my walk, then do bins, recycling and fuel when I get back.

Forgot my dad was coming to stay on Monday, so have to clear the spare room. So the shoe mountain HAS to be done, and I'll have to pack up the christmas decs properly too!

ETA - must also book my gym session for Monday...

    Morning all

Nice bathroom Valli - and well done on the sofa!

I'm grumpy. We were promised sunshine today - we had about an hour first thing and now it's all dark and cloudy and threatening rain again. I'm also tired as I didn't sleep well. I decided I might see how things went by not locking the kittens away in the front room for the night. They were fine, no trashing the joint or anything but I ended up waking up several times feeling like the middle bit of an animal sandwich. BB was snoozing on one side of the bed and the kittens were curled up on the other side of me. Given I've only got a single bed, I felt rather trapped! I'll see how it goes tonight.

Also sold my first half dozen eggs last night :D to NN - I gave her half a dozen last week for free and she liked them so much she wanted more. I am going to find a little pot to put the egg money in. I shall label it "Nest egg" :rotfl:

Given it looks like the weather isn't going to co-operate, neither shall I - I think I shall spend the day writing.

  • love the 'nest egg' soappie - very appropriate!

up and breakfasted, 2 washing loads done - now draped over radiators or waiting for space!

Oh's washing is where he dumped it - and I ain't going looking for it! If DS can cope with the principal of a washing basket then anyone can!

Wonder how Valli is enjoying her free weekend?

Morning all, i spent the day so far sorting out bills and i'm pleased to say that one monthly payment has been lowered, another is back to payment plan (i missed paying over christmas :o) and i've wrote all direct debits on the calendar so i won't forget. I'm looking to get rid of all debt by this christmas. :D

I'm gonna go and have a nosey in the store cupboard and draw up a meal plan for this week. It's time i started using what was in the cupboard instead of buying more. :o

Flying wise, dw on and wm/td both on. House isn't looking so bad but i do need to clear out the front hall so i'll get a cuppa first then meal plan then front hall.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

    hi

just pegged out washing - it's sunny and blowy here (sorry Soappie)
and am going into town shortly, meeting a friend for lunch and doing a few errands.
Had my Curry Night (with some friends at my friend Karen's house. She came to work where I was working and ended up as my supervisor for a while - until I transferred to a different department - I always say that wis an indicator of how good our frindship was and is because her promotion never interfered with our friendship) last night so shall post pics on facebook later.
I rolled up here early this morning!

Crawled out of pit to collect a parcel today.. was making cuppa to take back up but OH brought pesty down so we stayed here and she is wearing her first cloth nappy.. :D I do love them but would love to keep her in the convenience of disposables if I could afford to.. we have pooped our way through all the gifted/free nappies now... and I must sort her 'too big' cupboard because a lot will probably now fit!

Have to get washing caught up on again.. there are 2 full baskets in the girls room and another in the bathroom.. childrens bedding all needs to be done too.. so I'll set them on with that in a bit.. and their mattresses all need turning.. apart from Tiddles.. she needs a new one which I shall budget for shortly.

    Morning all!!

    I can see sun !!!!!!!:j:j:j

    First time in six weeks!!!

Well its crack of blue in between the grey. It was supposed to snow but looks to me like its not going to happen.

Just came downstairs to find four washing loads in the kitchen:eek:. So thats my job for the day. I succeeded in shotting more stuff out:D. Still loads left though :o. Need to get my backside in gear and sort it all out.

So going to sort the bathrooms out today and carry on with the lists. I will complete four out of 3 tasks by Sunday.

Right i'm off to have a cuppa and put the lamb ribs in the oven. I'm running the freezer and stock cupboard down. Never had lamb ribs so hope they taste all right.
