Mummyof5 get 'in' touch with consumer direct, that is not long enough for a sofa! You need to get them to fix it and if they won't consumer direct I am sure will help
    Sentora ((hugs))
Valli love it! Like several others we're also in council but we're going to apply to change sink to one of those types of units when I can afford it, love them!
Maybemischief we have ikea pax wardrobes and I love them!
Toots sorry to hear about Harry and your NOF so many hip injuries at the moment with all the ice

Hugs for those who need/want one, I know January blues are rife!

A less stressful meeting today, but knowing it's the calm before the storm in many ways as we've found out the national government in their refusals to ring fence anything are sending the £800 million for short breaks (over 4 years) as 'protected' nobody knows what protected is! So looks like we might have to kick some bums to make sure it's spent on short breaks for disabled children! Going to be a busy year and I will no doubt be bugging you all for support x

Anyway I also got loads more jiggled about in the kitchen but heartburn keeps winning so I'm laid down on fire again. Anyway I've sorted any way by use by stuff which I thought was done when we moved, Matthew's mam said she sorted it but January 2009 dates say not lol. I've tried to start arranging the pantry, which is going to be the only food cupboard. Still trying to get my head round it. So far I have a box of tins with veg/beans/fruit in, another with soup/meat/fish in, a box with open pasta/rice and another with noodles/flavoured rice/pasta..... So I'm getting there. I think I might get a box next to use as my 'shop' I did that at the old house, it worked very well. Put the huge stash of pasta, rice etc in to access as needed without cluttering and risking having dozens of open packs like I do now.

Right, a little trashy tele, will start the 'shop' box, make kids packed lunches for tomorrow (boys out on activities) quick bin bag dance then bed with one of my course guides
One day I might be more organised...........

    Evening all

No internet last night (had left the charger for the laptop at work, so not much work done either :o).

I was home early today (my day for collecting DS2 from school) :j and have achieved amazingly little since. A phone call to the bank and various bits and pieces for tea - that's about it. I'm just pleased that I've got through this first week with all the changes in school and needed a night off. Will try to but DW and WM on before bed, though. I'm still hungry, so going for some tea and toast now.

Since I've read about 10% of the thread I have no idea what's going on with everyone, so please have hugs, sticks and spoons as needed.

  • Not managed anything on the list today for 2nd day in a row - but not beating myself up, I'm only an ickle newbie:D.
Still hope of doing a bit of clutter clearing of master bedroom on Sunday.

Today my energies have been used to cook extra meals for not so well parents to take over to them tomorrow
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once
  • welcome to mummy172 - you have a pm!!!

you are right - dont beat yourself up - cooking for unwell parents is more important - the lists start again on monday and you will be able to more things - it all takes time so just keep chipping away at it. Life has a nasty habit of getting in the way sometimes too!

Pleased you're feeling well enough to get back into things Triker, you're being so sensible about easing yourself back into things gradually x

'Shop box' done, so far it has pasta, plain flour, rice and cereals in it. I definately won't need pasta or rice for a while :o I'll get DP to put that on top of the fridge later after I've done a list of how much of each is in there.

Started packed lunches, got some meat out defrosting for sandwiches as I forgot to get some when I popped to the CO-OP. I can't find any drinks bottles either, I think I threw them away when I had my clear out so must get some in the morning. DS2 has one but if I loose that he'd have a bit of a mood.....to say the least he screamed the house down earlier when he couldn't find it. He manages great some days but others he's so hooky on it. If he could have a baby bottle he would! Goggles found, swimming kits sorted apart from the trunks they will put on in the morning. Arranged to meet a friend, well someone I look out for is probably a better term, after I drop the boys off and going to have a nosey around the local shops where she lives to pick up the things I need.

Course reading can wait until tomorrow when I don't have so much to do the next morning .....well I don't think I do

Going to pop round some other threads, switch some money round (thanks to whoever mentioned it) Night night all x
One day I might be more organised...........
