Hi
Can I join too? Had given up on housework as we have been redoing our kitchen/diner for the last year and half (yes you did read that right) and everything that was in the kitchen/diner is randomly scattered around the house. The kitchen/diner itself is full of builder's stuff and there's a constant layer of brickdust on everything. I've never been that houseproud but even I have my limits!
And this seems manageable - I love lists! I started yesterday and am loving my new look bedroom. I'm ignoring today's list cos I'm not worried about the spare room so I'm doing Monday's instead. Going to enlist DH's help too when he gets home...
Ta everyone!

Hi all
Hope everyone is well? Sending hugs and spoons to anyone who needs one.
I've not been following the lists this week as I'm currently in the middle of a massive declutter - things get dusted/hoovered/wiped as they come free! For many reasons the underlying junk has remained from when we moved in almost 3 years ago, so this year I'm starting with this then I'll join in with the lists when I can.
Today I have done the following:- Morning dailies
- 15 mins junk fighting in DDs room (this is a daily commitment now - she's drowning in junk).
- Sorted 2 x bags for charity shop from toys/books in the living room and DDs room.
- Generated 1 x bag for the bin/1 x bag for recycling
- WM x 1 (now hanging on the airer)
- Completely cleared the junk on my desk and done the filing.
- Relocated everything that didn't belong in the living room.
- Started looking at the junk piles in the hallway...
There's still quite a bit to do in the living room - it was an absolute pit  - but this is more along the lines of proper deep cleaning now.
Phew! I'm off to get some dinner sorted and I think I'll sit down this evening with my feet up - I've earned it today!
Oh yes, and the black dog has gone, gone, gone! Now that I'm not breastfeeding any more I've been taking a supplement that boosts seratonin levels...I've got tons more energy now!
Anyway, I'd better feed the starving masses!
Take care all
D

Good evening  We had a lovely day in Leeds, had coffee and cream cakes at Patisserie Valerie (and though again of a special Flyperson :A ) and went to the costume exhibition. Saw costumes that have actually been worn by your actual Colin Firth, Orlando Bloom, Johnny Depp, Sean Connery, John Simm :drool::drool:
There's proper snow in Leeds, but only rain here
now back and DH is building a fire, and DS will make supper laterI'm not asking for medical advice but would appreciate some guidance on teenage depression.. My niece is not happy, & I know all teenagers go through patches but how do you know when it's not just a patch? And how can I help her?
Have you tried starting a thread on the Families Board? There's lots of useful nuggets of advice there. Hope she gets through this, and well done you for caring :APictures are on facebook - here's the photobucket link for those not on facebook (TOOTS)
My Bathroom

Brill :TThanks everyone for your posts. I was just worried at the length of time people normally take over it and I had just looked at the wedding board, most people have everything well over 6 months before.

He he that had me giggling, what a brilliant description!
Mollinagirl Nice to see you posting, I was wondering today where you had got to. 9 days in bed, poor you, I hope you are on the mend now (((Hugs)))
DD bedroom is done, decluttered, tidied, straightened, vac'd, wiped & bed changed.
Unfortunately I can't even get in DS's room now, Thats a job for tommorow (with his help unfortunately, unless I can confince OH to take them out somewhere)0 -
Thing is, although I quite LIKED the LSB love (at least on my part) it was NOT. And I'd given it 6 months. Now if it was love on his part (and I kind of think it was) -well, he should have said;)
That says it allmaybemischief wrote: »He he that had me giggling, what a brilliant description!
Not my description (wish I'd invented that word though :rotfl: ) but one I first saw on this site, in threads such as this :rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0
